Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy was one of the musicians lined up to perform at Kabaka Mutebi’s 62nd birthday bash.

And she will surely live to remember the day the main celebrant walked out on her in the middle of her performance. A video has now gone viral of the former Blu*3 singer, skimpily dressed in a pair of tiny shorts performing her hit, Selector.

In the video, the singer and her queen dancers are seen bending over and squatting a few metres from the high table where the birthday king, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, the Nnaabagereka Sylvia Nagginda and vice president Edward Sekandi were seated.

Awkward glances were exchanged, before an aide was summoned. In no time, security had arrived, shooing Cindy and her twerking vixens out of the way for the big people to exit the madness. Ouch!

Sorry Cindy; next time try twerking in a gomesi. Assuming they invite you back, that is.

Why Salvado is crying for Uganda Airlines

Comedian Patrick ‘Salvado’ Idringi had two shows in Accra, Ghana and Nigeria’s Port Harcourt over the weekend.

Social media updates show that he totally killed the shows and people died of laughter. That was the successful part. It is getting there that was not easy.

The flight from Entebbe to Accra was to go via Kigali and something went wrong in Kigali. He was transferred to Kenya Airways that flew him back to Entebbe, then on to Nairobi and finally to Accra. On the same continent. A destination possibly four hours away in real time. Eh!

“Dear government, we need our own airline. Imagine from the plane straight to the stage. This is going to be a tough one,” he posted for his fans that were following the drama on his Facebook timeline.

Well, be thankful, Salvado; once upon a time Ugandan travellers to West Africa endured strange transits in Zurich, Switzerland.

Or those travelling to Mauritius who still transit through Dubai if they want to skip a South African transit visa requirement. Ugandans’ travel can be traumatising.

Maddoxx’s backstage snack

Maddoxx Sematimba put on a fantastic show last Friday at Imperial Royale hotel. The well-attended Good Friday concert was worth the wait for many of his fans.

But could oranges be the secret to his never-dying voice? You know, that Vitamin C miracle.

He may have had his run-ins with the law and the alleged abuse of drugs and alcohol, but one thing is for sure, his talent is flawless. Well, his backstage apple and oranges snack could be the secret.

Star Trail captured him enjoying some right before hitting the stage. While others choose to drink warm water with honey or eat bananas to grease their vocal chords, this could be the Maddoxx way to Namagembe smoothness.

Welcome back, Maddoxx, meanwhile.

Miss Uganda UK in campaign against child sacrifice

Professional nurse, Bridget Katungi is Miss Uganda UK 2016.

Katungi jetted into the country last week to launch her anti-child-sacrifice campaign.

Katungi chose to tackle child sacrifice and kicked off her campaign at Nakasero primary school with pupils writing essays about how to combat child sacrifice and others having drawings.

The teachers chose the best essays and two lucky pupils won school fees for a term, courtesy of the Miss Uganda Foundation – UK chapter. This week, Katungi will be going to schools in Jinja for the same cause.
