Naalya-based TMR International Hospital is the winner of the 2025 Business Excellence awards in the Customer Service Experience category.
Organized by Consumer Publications Uganda Limited, the awards recognize outstanding initiatives that not only thrive, but also impact, uplift, and transform communities. The awards also recognise exceptional accomplishments in customer satisfaction, innovation and business performance across various Ugandan economic sectors.
More than 80 businesses were honoured for excellence in a variety of industries at the 2025 awards, which were hosted at the Kampala Sheraton hotel and attended by government representatives, business leaders and industry stakeholders.
While receiving the award, Dr Daniel Mitchell Talemwa, the TMR executive director, hailed the organisers for creating a platform to assess customer satisfaction.
“This award serves to push us to be better at our service,” he said.
“We have not been in the industry for long, but we are working hard to ensure we create the change that the public desires.”
Agnes Alowo, the chief operations manager of Consumer Publications, said winners were chosen after a rigorous process that included consumer voting, public nominations, and market research.
She noted that TMR deserved the award for their commitment to providing comprehensive and cutting-edge healthcare, first-rate medical infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology and highly qualified staff.
Other winners on the night included Crestank Limited for best manufacturer of plastic tanks, Tembo Steels for best manufacturer of TMX bars, Movit Products for best manufacturer of personal care, body and hair products and Pan Dental Surgery for best dental treatment and oral healthcare provider, among others.
