Missiles in the sky

They say that in moments of war, the first casualty is the truth.

But with the exception of scripture, all speech acts, or what in more scholarly language we call discourse, is relative. It is a reflection of power and selfish interests of the one talking. In fact, one of my favourite authors, Anne Michaels, in her novel, Fugitive Pieces, has this line that “what is dear to us is often dearer than the truth.”

This is not just editing ourselves, but rather that all information is a political act. It is all propaganda, and one has to trust their good education, their instincts, and biases. My position has always been, “may the most credible, the most persuasive, and most believable propaganda win.” (Is it not fascinating how a great deal of propaganda collapses at the earliest point of scrutiny?)

Indeed, ever since the combined forces of Israel and America attacked Iran illegally (not sure what this means), and without provocation, I have listened to many Ugandans – and Africans in different places – discuss this conflict with terribly weak propaganda.

For many, it is like a movie with typical Hollywood stereotypes: America/ Israel as the good guys. No history. No background. No ideological campus. Just Hollywood. I would like to offer some fairly informed propaganda.

For reasons you will soon find out, I should say, dear reader, that while I am biased towards Iran, I am writing from an African vantage point. I am a grandson of anti-colonial heroes, and a victim of modern-day colonialism (the so-called free markets, and electoral democracy).

Let’s start from the beginning:

WHO ARE THE BAD GUYS?

America and Israel are the bad guys – plus the entire western Europe, especially France, Germany and the UK. I know we have consumed incredible amounts of western spin through cinema and a colonial curriculum and cultural exchanges to the point that we see ourselves as friends of western Europe and America. We have been made to see them as “the gold standards of good living.”

We have been made to believe that the bad guys are unable to speak English. If they do, their accents are heavy. They either speak Arabic, Russian or another, but not English or French.

The bad guys have to have long beards, and are often dressed in tunics, and other capacious garments. The bad guys have to be Muslim. The good guys Christian or Jewish. In truth, however, the biggest terrorists of the world speak fluent English, and wear suits and neckties.

Western Europeans and Americans have been at the cause and center of every criminal enterprise in the modern world: From slave trade, colonialism, apartheid, genocides/Holocausts (Germany, Namibia, India, Rwanda, Gaza), man-made famines to dropping nuclear bombs on innocent people.

But they endlessly sing human rights, and democracy, through which they have bombed and pillaged the rest of the world. You realize now that this entire conflict has nothing to do with stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

The good guys have this belief that Iranians are retarded people who, once they get a nuclear bomb, are too reckless to drop it on innocent people. Only one country in history has used the nuclear bomb. That is the United States of America.

NOT A RELIGIOUS WAR; CONFLICT OVER RESOURCES

Dear Ugandans, the Iran-Israel/ America conflict is not a religious war. It is a war over resources. I know Israel has built itself a religious identity, as has Iran.

But these identities are mobilizational tools for a different objective. While Iran (add Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, among others) want to protect its sovereignty, dignity and resources, Israel wants to grab more land and control them.

This is the “Greater Israel Project,” where they have continued to take more land through violence, ethnic cleansings and genocide. (Remember East Africa and Argentina were considered sites for the establishment of the state of Israel; religion is just the cover).

For Iran, Islam has equipped them with discipline, motivation and moral campus to protect their territory. Revolutions need inspiration. I know Israel loves to claim that the Arabs and Muslims in the Middle East hate them because they are Jewish.

Or because of their beautiful ways. But this often ignores their heinous crimes right from their creation, which only happened through ethnic cleansing, mass slaughters, and genocide and only continues on those terms – with the absolute support of western Europe and America.

GOOD OLD COLONIALISM

Notice also that America and colonial western Europe still miss the direct colonial days where they had free access to the world’s resources. They still do, especially in large parts of Africa where they imposed colonial caretakers for presidents.

But pockets of the world have resisted this modern-day imperialism – and Iran is the most outstanding example, resisting and helping resistors. Important to recall that before this ongoing conflict became openly violent, the United States, together with the UK, had already committed major crimes in Iran.

In order to continue stealing Iranian oil, working inside the American embassy in Tehran, in 1953, these mafias staged a coup that overthrew a democratically-elected leader of Iran, Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh.

They imposed a man they wanted, who allowed them access to Iranian oil on the cheap for the next 26 years before his overthrow in 1979. The Islamic Republic emerges after this overthrow, mobilizes its pedigree – as the mighty 2,500 years old Persian empire – and through discipline and hard work, and guided by their old Islamic tradition, rebuilt Iran into a major super power.

But this entire time, America, Israel and western Europe had continued looking at Iran enviously and maligning it in their press. Notice here that because of a strong Islamic ethic, Iran became anti-colonialism since the founding of the Islamic Republic.

It not only helped Palestine when it faced a major violent land grab since 1948 (with Israel’s founding), but also continued to support anti-colonial forces in Africa. But for remaining the only major power in the region standing up against Israel occupation of Palestinian lands, Israel for the last 40 years has been itching for war with Iran. This is the America-Israel connection.

IT IS NOT FAR AWAY IN THE MIDDLE EAST; IT IS HERE

I can see the indifference among many Ugandans about this conflict. It not only looks like a distant religious war, but they see it as so far from them. This is our war to fight, and we should be thankful to Iran for staging a stand.

Look, the people who imposed Structural Adjustment Programs (SAPs) on us, and had us impoverished to this day are the same people looking forward to stealing Iranian and Palestinian resources.

There is no violent war in Uganda or in several other parts of Africa, simply because these people already have our economies in their hands. They have our mineral resources, they have our human resources, they even have our souls.

But if you considered Sudan, Libya, South Sudan, Somalia, unending conflicts in DRC, and the only recently concluded war in Ethiopia, it is because Euro-America wants our resources the same way they want cheap or free Iranian oil. In truth, Iran is fighting our war.

  1. “They still do, especially in large parts of Africa where they imposed colonial caretakers for presidents.” As Christianity continues to survive some 2000 years from now, human evil as well continues to do the same. The state of Israel or the Buganda Kingdom state, one understands are very old civilized countries than the newer states of North and Southern America. Let us all agree that it is the Parliament of Uganda that made it possible for President Museveni to govern this country now 45 years and counting until the end of his long life. It is not the Europeans, the Americans or the Chinese who came all the way from their comfortable homes to impose this current dictatorship on the people of this poor African country. The people’s representative house willingly did it for them 2005 and 2017. Another point of disgrace for mankind is the world arms race that continues to incite human warfare on planet earth. If that thingy kills life, man must get it even if it costs a fortune! How much is that Israel/Palestine and American war costing the world right now towards the world’s economy? Mind you for North America that is determined to police the whole world, this is not the only war it has ever fought! It would probably help this world and its deteriorated environment, to get on fairly well if the local currency of the USA dollar is reduced in its use on the international commercial markets worldwide!

  2. It wants to look like the USA is definitely confused like that scientist Victor Frankestein who created a grotesque human creature and afterwards the bloody thingy got hold of him wanting to kill him. American inveted the Atomic bomb for better warfare. Israel got hold of the atomic bomb to use for any Arab country that would want to attack it and destroy it. The rest is history. Some others can have it while others must never have it! That grotesque thingy can kill and eat some but not me as USA or some others?

  3. I dis-agree with most of your writings. This war is about evil vs good, that narrows down to belief systems. Natural resources take in a second or third options as leaders disagree on things they deem a threat to their lives and local citizens. Iran leaders themselves said, death to anyone who didn’t believe in their faith include their own Arabs brothers. They have over period of time set up cells around the world to terrorized those who don’t believe or agree with their views. When a system or leaders stay in power for long time, they develop a way to protect their interest. Slave trade was, and is primary promoted by African chiefs, now Presidents(dictators) who forces those who they disagree with to be sold or taken advantage of abroad. They appease the Western/Arabs agents as they find income in flow unto their accounts as they sell their own people into slavery and natural resources receiving individual gains. Evil has no skin color, religion, region or body shape. Evil is evil! You can sense, smell, observe and even be a victim of it. There those who holds unto the tree of evil. Talking about DRC, South Sudan etc endless wars in Africa who are the beneficiaries; agents(African leaders ) as well as final receivers. Russia, China is all over African dealing with brutal and dictatorial leaders. Buganda Kingdom was well respected by Former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt as well organized, he learnt somethings and borrowed the ideas we see in USA today. Why some of us feel safe with America is because of checks and balances especially on those who wants to exploit African resources. Our leaders enjoy Middle east, India, Russia and China because there are no checks and balances in their dealings. They rob their own citizens of the benefits of God given resources. Just see how our sisters and brothers are being exploited in the Middle East. President Trump and his government are brave enough to take action, and I believe is coming to East Africa( Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Sudan). If God uses him, so be. I am 100% for it. Evil is Evil. We have been deprived of our rights to be free and enjoy our heritage. A regime that kills its massive innocent arm-less people while its top officials enjoy the benefits of the natural resources, how can we look away. In conclusion, I am grateful that God is answering my prayers that I prayed over the tree of evil, and some locations in Jinja where they had established their shrines to access the Nile gods. It’s finished!

    1. In other words Jamo who is the LESSOR EVIL versus the GREATER EVIL, vis-à-vis the LESSOR GOOD versus the GREATER GOOD.

There is this Moslem Eritrean friend of mine who told me that: because the Africans are less evil and more humane; there was no need for God to send Prophets to redeem them.

But throughout the centuries and millennium, he had to send very many Prophets to the Middle East because, these race of people were and are still impossible (Violent). They even dared God by either chasing those prophets into the wilderness and/or killed (martyred) them; like e.g., Mocked Noah when constructing the Ark, crucified Jesus, chased Mohamed (PBH) from Mecca to Medina, etc.

      1. Ssebo , on matters as complex as this one is , its more convenient to stray far away from the highway . But if you stay on and dare to look , you see major contradictions all over the place. The above article is a fine example.
We here, are of the view that it is contradictory to say you dislike , hate or be opposed to what “Musevenism” has done to Uganda and parts of the region , and then turn around and lament over the demise of “Ayatollahism” in Iran or elsewhere.
These two pains are the same and shouldn`t be there ; the only difference being that one has oil while the other produces grasshoppers- Ensenene.

        1. Betty I like your language!

In other words, producing grasshoppers is less harmful. All you need are: a few new Uganda Baati Iron sheets, empty plastic/metallic 100-liter drums and solar lamps.

Meanwhile, although it’s a delicacy; I haven’t heard or known people slaughtering each other while catching and/or selling ensenene

      2. There’s no less evil or greater evil. Moses was born and exercised his divine power in Egypt and Ethiopia. Moses led a fight into Cush and ended up marrying a Cushite(Ethiopian) princess. We are told Jesus too might have spent much of his time in Egypt and Ethiopia, before being more active in his 30s. I sometimes sympathize with the West as they imports gods from whole the world(Greek, Indian, Egyptians, etc) integrates into their societies and ends up confusing, blinding them from the truth. I was told that the gods of Africa are more powerful than the other gods. That’s why we need more grace, mercy and redemption. The Nalubaale (L.Victoria), Lubaale gods feeds into the Nile gods. This is the hidden secret of Sevos that he exports to his counterparts. Now, the Lubaale/rock removed, we see the drowning taking place.

    2. I and my passionate man had the same conversation over this Iran vs USA saga. It looks like Jomo overhead us , because he has put down all our thoughts The owner of this article confessed that he is biased towards Iran. That is the problem . This article is typically marred by his bias and his version of what he calls terribly weak propaganda. Someone said that intellectual bias is a temporary conceptual handicap . Maybe this was the case when this article was constructed …?
“Evil is evil” I totally agree .
The writer is a Ugandans who is well aware of what is happening at home. It must be said again and again that while Iran had to deal with its Supreme Leader and his Revolutionists for 46 years , Uganda has its own Supreme Leader and his “National Resistance ” outfit.
We all know that during the last 4 or so months , Iran`s regime has executed more than 8000 protestors . I am not sure if the writer has issued an article about that.
We also know that of late , many Ugandans have been “dubbed” as terrorists , executed or abducted and dumped in safe houses or prisons.
We do have our pain , just like the Iranians that have been persecuted for 45 years by a brutal regime until Trump said : enough is enough
Colonialism can be discussed any other day ; and so should be Arabic Imperialism and its consequences . This not even about ” bad guys ” with beards ; its about a small group of evil people playing GOD
Have we already forgotten that only two weeks ago ,Uganda`s Supreme Leader ordered the Catholic Church to not hold a mass that he did not like ?

      1. Betty, this caught my eye: ‘many Ugandans have been “dubbed” as terrorists, executed or abducted.’ It reminds me of Lucky Dube’s question: ‘Do you wanna be a well-fed slave or a hungry free man?’ Looking at our history, I’d almost prefer the ‘fed slave’ over the ‘hungry freedom’ we inherited from colonialism. In reality, we aren’t free at all; we are in bondage under our own. For 40 years, M7’s system has systematically looted the nation while kidnapping, killing and torturing anyone who dares to speak. When corruption, tribalism, and nepotism stink to high heaven, the state simply labels its victims ‘terrorists’ to justify the violence. Gen. Muhoozi even bragged about killing ‘terrorists’ and detaining ‘hooligans’—but we know these are just citizens demanding a better life. For four decades, M7 has stripped the country naked while using violence, kidnappings, torture, killing and safe houses to silence dissent.

  4. kabayekka, understood so,

Reason Ugandans MUST say NO to the tribalistic system Rwandese Museveni so so cleaverly put in place, knowing it’ his POWER while Ugandans are POWERLESS but fight for posts, lock up one another/opposers in prison, while he owns Uganda formed by their tribal lands & will leave the post to his son!

    D. Trump left Museveni in post after his first 4 years term & will leave him in post again at the end of the second term!

Iranians have been under the same dictatorship for 47 years & even when they came out to say enough is enough, they don’t have opposition leadership to help them conclude the fight for change!

Ugandans are ensuring Dr Besigye stays, dies in prison, right?

Uganda situation is worse as it’s colonised by Rwandese Museveni who tribally divided them & Ugandans will NEVER be FREE to form the kind of governance they want, unless they stop him in UNITY with just ONE of them from a tribal land as Common/National Leader!

Rwandese Musevni is assured of 45 years & Ugandans are powerless tribally divided ruled, so how will change come & who will bring it to Ugandans?

  5. Jamo, agreed.

This is why Ugandans MUST say NO to the tribalistic system Rwandese Museveni put in place, UNITE to stop him!

Then & only then will Ugandans be strong & form the kind of governance they want, without war!

Rwandese Museveni doesn’t need tribal leaders in posts anymore now! What if he becomes a real man & dissolves their posts, knowing tribally divided Ugandans have no Common/National Goal nor Leader & Bobi Wine will continue helping him remain on with fake elections?

47 years, Iran belongs to the ruling group who, after the death of their supreme leader, are going to elect one of them to replace him! Unless Iranians get an opposition leader to help them conclude the fight!

Rwandese Museveni is going no where, unless Ugandans WAKE UP & UNITE to block & stop him!

Why are Ugandans so so afraid to live without Rwandese Museveni & family!

How long will Dr Besigye be in prison & in what health & who is helping him to be released or even talking about him?

  6. Lakwena, understood.

God is the only one who will save humans from themselves when the time He set in place comes! Until then Ugandans & all those under inhuman dictatorship MUST UNITE under Common Leadership to stop their destruction by evil dictators!

What are Ugandans waiting for, knowing it’s them keeping Rwandese Museveni on & only them, in UNITY can stop him then do as they wish?

Why are tribal leaders still in posts & Ugandans go along, knowing only UNITY under ONE of them will give chance to be FREE to form the kind of Uganda, Governance they wish?

Why are Ugandans waiting for 2031 & how will their situation be by then?

    1. Don’t worry.. there’s catch coming up in DRC. The greedy masters will face each others. Keep working out, stay health and sober. There’s a window opening up to liberate ourselves. Sevos, days are numbered. God can’t be mocked and lied too. Sevos knows that is in mourning state…Just keep praying and asking God to remembers Uganda, and forgive our sins.

      1. Jamo, many Ugandans have no clue that: once a Marxist, always an Atheist.

E.g., as soon as he held the grip on power, he unilaterally ABOLISHED the tradition of Chaplaincy in the Armed Forces (no religious Chaplains priests or Imam) in the Barracks.

In other words, all the THANKSGIVING PRAYS Gen Tibuhaburwa organizes, are bluffs: to hoodwink naïve Ugandans and especially Born/Dead Again Christians and Clergies. Moreover, he organizes them after committing political crimes against Ugandans, e.g. after rigging, arresting, torture and killing Ugandans during every elections.

Otherwise, for Marxist sic atheist religion humanizes (opiate of the people) because e.g., a professional soldier who is religious, can’t commit abominations such as: the massacre of civilians and/or war crime (the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war).

In 1987 when interviewed by the Daily Nation whether he new about the Geneva Convention, he said no. This was after he had bragged about how his NRA Massacred the some Acholi civilians at Corner (Kona) Kilak.

        1. Lakwena, Sevos does not tell us openly but he identifies with the Bachwezi (or Chwezi). Just watch how he talks about Lubaale, trees, and the kind of food he doesn’t eat(fish, chicken). Lubaale is god of bachwezi who derives their spiritual powers on mountains, trees are believed to be mode of spirits communication(they can use a wooden wood to carry spiritual powers). The Bachwezi don’t eat especially fish as it has spiritual deity. I know this very well as I saw people in my village, close relatives practice it. It’s far better for Ugandans to know where their souls are dedicated. Lubaale gods flourish on human blood sacrifice. That’s why I embraced Christ teaching as he is the ONLY sacrifice. If Ugandans were to pray within this areas, I guarantee you Sevos and company will come down on their knees within 30s days. The Uganda Martyrs’ were Moslem, Protestant, Catholic, I bet neutral-believer too who embraced Christ faith, and were burnt for their new faith. I am certain they too would stand up with us to oppose what they died for.

          1. If anyone has access to Lake Victoria(Nalubaale) or the Nile or both, just stand on the shores and say, “Jesus is the rock of our Salvation, Jesus is the tree of life, Jesus is the living water, in the name of Jesus, “mention your name” set the souls of our ancestors, friends, families and our souls free, no more usage of our souls for evil purposes. He/she that Jesus sets free, is free indeed, In Jesus Name”. If more than 12 Ugandans prays this prayers, we will see miraculous change. This is far better than going on the street. We would be using Sevos is own weapon against him. Moses, Joshua and Jesus prayed over the water bodies that had spiritual bondage for the people they were delivering.

  7. Good article. The politicians of US, Israel, Europe have no morality when we see there is no condemnation on killing of school children in Iran.

No one asks why Iran was attacked when negotiations were successful. However, people of these countries should open their eyes and differentiate between good and evil. Zionists and Freemasons have their own agenda. US and Europe are being dragged.

If, God forbid, Zionists defeat Muslims, what do Christians and Hindus think will there be peace for them? Zionists and Freemasons believe in terrorism, satanic teachings and evil deeds. But right will have to prevail one day, this is the ultimate desire of nature.

    1. Iran were buying time to blind the world, USA especially just as they did with 9/11. In their spiritual world they knew how to blind through their rituals and implement attacks. How do you justify the terrorist attacks in the name of Islam or Lord resistance or even NRA massacre(in Luwero, Acholi, Teso) or Rwanda genocide or DRC daily massacre or Sudan killings or Boko Haram in Nigeria, etc. I bet you were waiting to celebrate another attack just as some did on 9/11. For your own information, when I visited the world center memorial center, I said a prayer reminding the victims(RIP) that it will never happen again and we will always remember them. Then God gave me a revelations of the spiritual rituals used that blinded intelligence systems all over the world, originating from the Nile how it’s used to manipulate. It was setting ground to attack again, now it has been decapitated.

    2. Mukulu , you are asking the right question :why is there no condemnation on killing children in Iran . If you check ,Iran has been killing students and young Iranians in their thousands under the last 4 months . I am tempted to ask you and the same question.
We here , have checked and are yet to see or hear any condemnation from you or from Mwami Sserunkuma . Are there some religions that are entitled to killings without being asked a question?
Back home , its less than a month ago , when 10 people , some of them young mothers and fathers , were gunned down inside Hon. Muwanga`s house garage .You should know that the shooters and the one who celebrated killing those “terrorists” were no Zionist …. Back home , the gentleman who ordered Christians not to pray for his prisoners was not a JEW .Have you read any single article where Mwami Sserunkuma has expressed his anguish over that” friendly execution” ?
Staying back home , the gentleman who ordered a Bishop not to pray for his prisoners is not a JEW. Where is the outrage ?
Nedda Ssebo ! you will end up making this even more complicated if you go on pushing the narrative that this is all about Zionists trying to defeat Islam before they go after Christians and Hindus .Please do not open that can or else you will not like what Boko Haram , Al Shabab , the Taliban, Isis , Al-Queda and other extreme non-Zionists have been cooking for the last —-how many years ?

      1. Betty, just remember the bombing during world 2010 at Ethiopian restaurant in Kabalagala, Lugogo ground, etc. Some of us have good friends carrying physical scares, and other lost lives. We have brothers and sisters who are of different faith; Moslem, Christians, Hindu/Buddha or traditionalist, when we see evil, we call it out. Evil is evil. This is why people draw closer to USA as when even the bad guys attack them, there’s always people on there other side defending the bad guys, to show mercy or restrain.

        1. Jamo Ssebo ,I remember those horrible bombings in our City . You are so right : it has been found out that a great majority of Africans ( I mean AFRICANS) trust USA much more they trust African Rulers and those egomaniac cultures ( name them). My own beloved man will tell you that wishes were horses , he would ride straight to hell for heaven`s sake if that was what was needed to remind those who have forgotten to REMEMBER that evil is evil ; like you say , evil itself has no faith . Anyone who choses to forget the atrocities that Iran`s paranoid rulers and their ancient ideologies have committed against their own citizens ( forcing millions into exile ) … the “forgetor” should spare us from long bombastic articles
WE have OUR OWNPAIN ,and we do not know if Iran knows it
Telling by the name, Mukulu Lakwena comes from a region that was severely pounded and humiliated for 21 years ; what did Iran say about that ? What did the Mw-Sserunkumas of there write ?

  8. Betty, while at a public function and responding to the query on the invasion of Iran by the US and Israel; our 86-years-old PROBLEM OF AFRICA “… who ordered a (Arch) Bishop not to pray for his prisoners … (Dr. Kiiza Besigye)” whom in November 2024, was abducted and trafficked from Nairobi implied that: the invasion is/was American and Israeli act of self-importance, injustice and chauvinism!

Full of himself, the man who invaded Uganda in Feb 1981; came to power through diabolic violence: euphoric, loves to hear his voice and in 45 years has become the PROBLEM OF AFRICA, told us off that he is neither our servant nor employee, etc.; is accusing others (Trump and Netanyahu) of self-importance, injustice and chauvinism!

In other words, who in his/her right state of mind can still deny that: we actually have BUTABIKA CASES in our State House and/or UPDF Headquarter?

Remember last year when Dr. Besigye went on a HUNGER STRIKE over being unjustly incarcerated/remanded: the man accused Dr. Besigye of seeking public attention (cheap popularity).

    1. Lakwena, Sevos fears truthful and faithful prayers. It has a greater negative impact on his spirits. As I told you, he identifies with the Bachwezi (or Chwezi). In his mind, he’s a King in form a president! He believes is a King of East Africa, demigod. If Ugandans don’t stand up to deliver their souls and loved ones from the Nalubaale through applied prayers of Jesus on the water, it will be impossible to get out of poverty which is a tool of control and oppression in the spiritual world.

  9. Shia and Suni have their problems with extremism in the editor’s disregard for the Iranian bereavement (mental health)
Religious infidelity is universal due to righteousness, guilty and sin and it’s likely more conflict will manifest
