
Hamza Muwonge: The former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper was signed from Simba in 2006 and became the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper during the time he spent at the club. He moved to Bright Stars in 2013 and ended his career there. He currently serves as goalkeeping coach at Impala Hill FC.
Godwin Buule: He was a reserve goalkeeper and had limited playing time in the title run. The youthful goalkeeper, who emerged from St Mary’s SS Kitende, later had uninspiring spells at Bright Stars.
Julius Mulindwa: He was a versatile defender whose pace and power were vital for the team. Mulindwa was signed from Victors FC in 2007. He later returned to Victors in 2013. He lives in Lukuli, a Kampala suburb.
Habib Kavuma: The towering defender was signed from Lukuli in 2006 and turned the left full-back position his own. He moved to KCCA in 2013 where he won more titles. He stays in Lukuli.
Ronald Seku: A hard tackler with aerial prowess, he was signed in 2005 after having some spells at Lungujja and Mutundwe Lions. He currently runs a soccer academy at Lungujja.
Edward Ssali: A stalwart in the title-winning campaign, the centre half was signed from Express FC in 2007 and became a dependable player. He left in 2015 and he is currently URA FC’s physical trainer.
Robert Kimuli: The left-footed player was the captain of this team. He had joined Bunamwaya in 2006 from Police FC. The holding midfielder was solid with good leadership qualities. He retired and he lives in Buwambo, Wakiso.
Owen Kasule: The midfielder was signed from KCCA in 2008 under the influence of coach Jackson Mayanja and went on to play the best football of his career at Bunamwaya. After leaving the club, he had spells with a couple of UPL sides before quitting the game. He is aspiring to become a football coach.
Hakim Senkumba: He joined Bunamwaya from Kinyara in 2008 but was used sparingly due to stiff competition for playing time in defensive midfield. He later moved to KCCA but he has since retired from football.
Tony Odur: He was signed in 2007 after an unsuccessful spell in Denmark. That season greatly exposed his talent and not only was Odur the club’s depend able striker, he also emerged the league top-scorer with 20 goals. He is currently a member of Katwe United technical team.
Caesar Okhuti: He was signed from Ediofe Hills FC in 2008. A hot prospect at the time, Okhuti had power and pace in abundance. Many will remember his five goals in the 10-1 against Nsambya based Sharing FC. He is currently a member of Arua Hills FC technical staff.
Ronald Muganga: He was recruited in 2006 and was ever present in the title campaign. He left in 2014 and lives in Lukuli.
William Luwaga Kizito: He joined from Wembley FC in 2010. The left winger had few games during that season. He left in 2014 and joined the paid ranks in Portugal and he is currently plying his trade in Israel.
Mike Mutyaba: The stoutly-built winger joined in 2009 from Wembley FC. His playing was limited that season but within a year, he had emerged as a top player at the club. He later moved to Sudan’s Al-Merrikh before he switched to TP Mazembe. He is now a businessman based in Bunamwaya.
Ibrahim Sadam Juma: After joining from Wembley in 2009, he was one of the breakout stars of this team. The attacking midfielder went on to enjoy spells at Express and KCCA, among others. Other players include Derrick Walulya, Caesar Mulumba, Yudah Mugalu, Joe Sebuliba, Andy Ssali, Ayub Kisalita, Boban Zirintusa and Mohammad Zziwa.
