For instance, all streets in Industrial Area were a no-go area, with many vehicles stretching for kilometers. Other affected roads were Nsambya, Jinja road traffic lights as well as roads leading to Nakawa and Spear Motors.

Jinja road was one of the most affected routes since some sections like Lugogo bypass were also flooded and impassable especially for the smaller cars. Along John Babiiha Avenue, motorists created various lanes on different parts of the road in a bid to get ahead but instead made the jamming worse.

At Yusuf Lule road the jam stretched from Fairway traffic lights junction up to Kitgum House junction along Jinja road. Taxi drivers and boda boda cyclists took advantage of the rains to hike the transport fares.

From Nsambya road junction traffic lights up to the Clock Tower, it was a complete cut-off and even boda bodas were stuck in the jam.
