“Preliminary postmortem results show there was a clot in his lungs that caused difficulties in breathing,” Owoyesigyire said.Â
Owoyesigyire said Naland arrived into the country on May 5 and was representing Mahindra Consulting Engineers.Â
“We have recovered Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage and recorded statements that will help us in investigations,” Owoyesigyire said.Â
Close to 10 foreign nationals have died in Uganda’s hotels and apartments in the last one year. These include Jurgen Gallant, a German national who died at Nsambya hospital where he was rushed in critical condition, Eric Yvomr, a Belgian national who died in his apartment in Muyenga, Nordlander Andreas, a Swede who died at Sheraton hotel and Tuomas Petteri Terasvuori, a Finish died at Pearl of Africa hotel.
