Rwabwogo watches on as wife Patience is consecrated as Bishop

First Lady Janet Museveni has made her first major public appearance in more than five months, saying she survived what she described as “the jaws of death” after a prolonged illness.

Janet, who had largely stayed away from the public spotlight after falling ill in April, made the remarks on Sunday during the consecration of her daughter, Patience Kokundeka Museveni Rwabwogo, as bishop of Covenant Nations Church at Maya-Luzira in Kampala.

Although she briefly appeared several days ago at a reception for visiting American evangelist Bishop Dr LaDonna C. Osborn, Sunday’s ceremony marked her first appearance before a large gathering since her illness.

In a prayer lasting more than 14 minutes, Janet, in a frail voice, reflected on her health ordeal, Uganda’s history and the growth of the church, while thanking Ugandans and Christians who prayed for her during her illness.

She said she was particularly grateful that people she had supported and prayed for over the years, including widows, orphans and other vulnerable Ugandans, had remembered her during her hour of need.

Janet attributed her recovery to her Christian faith, describing Jesus as “the healer, the great physician” and quoting Isaiah 53:5 on healing.

Her prayer also turned into a reflection on Uganda’s history, with Janet crediting God for guiding the country through years of civil war, HIV/AIDS, insurgencies, poverty and the challenges of rebuilding after conflict.

She praised President Yoweri Museveni for leading Uganda through what she described as a 40-year journey of rebuilding and recovery.

“It was your presence that defeated the innumerable challenges we have faced these past 40 years,” she said, referring to the Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency in northern Uganda and other conflicts.

Janet said she was particularly grateful that Uganda had transformed from a war-ravaged country into a nation contributing to regional peace and hosting refugees from neighbouring countries.

Daughter consecrated bishop

Turning to her daughter’s consecration, Janet described the occasion as a moment of great honour and joy for the family.

“Today, we celebrate the consecration of our daughter, Patience, to the office of a bishop,” she said. “We are overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving at the great honour you have bestowed over us in choosing one of our children to serve you in this capacity.”

She said Patience answered the call to ministry 20 years ago and prayed for her and her husband, Odrek Rwabwogo, to receive “a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit” as they continue with their ministry.

Janet also prayed for Covenant Nations Church to expand beyond Uganda while remaining grounded in prayer, love and the preaching of what she called the undiluted word of God.

At the end of the prayer, President Museveni warmly acknowledged his wife before taking the podium to deliver what he described as his “brief speech”.

The Musevenis at their daughters consecration

Museveni began by thanking God for Janet’s recovery and acknowledged the medical personnel and their children who supported her during her illness. He then congratulated Patience on becoming a bishop, saying the development represented a significant milestone for the family.

Museveni on family’s Christian roots

Museveni also reflected on his family’s encounter with Christianity, saying his ancestors had lived in the region long before the arrival of Islam and Christianity.

He said Islam arrived in Uganda in the 1840s, followed by the Anglican Church in 1877 and Catholic missionaries in 1879.

According to Museveni, his great-grandparents and grandparents did not embrace either Christianity or the colonial administration, with his immediate family only adopting Christianity in 1947.

The President also praised his daughter’s knowledge of the Bible, revealing that although he had spent 12 years studying scripture, he had learnt new things from Patience’s writings.

He said he was particularly surprised by her explanation of the descendants of Lot and Esau, which led him to conclude that she had studied the Bible more deeply than he had.

“So I said, this young person has really read the Bible much more than myself, I surrendered,” he said.

Museveni said Patience would bring “a lot of energy” to the church and thanked Bishop Osborn and Nigerian preacher Pastor Enoch Adeboye for travelling to Uganda for the consecration.

He also urged religious leaders to focus on the substance of Christianity. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Jessica Alupo, ministers, MPs, religious leaders and cultural leaders.

Among those present were Pastor Robert Kayanja, Prince David Wasajja Kiwanuka, representing the Buganda Kingdom, as well as representatives of the Anglican, Catholic and Muslim communities.

The consecration brought together religious leaders and dignitaries from Uganda and abroad as Covenant Nations Church marked 20 years since Patience began pastoring the church.

As a gesture of support to his daughter, Museveni announced that he and Mama Janet would give Patience 50 cows.

  1. But I wonder which god these people and their household Bishop worship/believe in! And which Theological College did the Bishop Patience of Covenant Nations Church of this country go to?

In other words, even without a Diocese: in the name of the same God with many names; every Tom, Dick, Harry, Jane Patience, etc. can now become a Bishop and Pope if need be. But the whole truth, nothing but the truth is: no one will survive the Jaws of Death!

The members of the so call First and Last Family talk about love, but are deceptive, GREEDY, self-opinionated, vindictive, cold-blooded, cruel and foul.

Here they are in self-worshiping and glorification (idol worshippers).

E.g., on 26th Jan 2017, the head of the SAME, family told the country and whole, wide world (www) that he is neither our servant nor employee. And in Nov (2017) after thrashing whoever opposed the removal of the presidential Age-limit, he reminded the country and the www that: he is the AUTHOR and MASTER OF VIOLENCE!

These are the same people denying Ugandans DECENT EDUCATION and basic healthcare services. They are self-serving in everything while e.g., Medical Intern can go to hell if the Shs.1,200,000 (one million, two hundred thousand only) per month facilitation is not enough!

While they do so their son Gen MK is on rampage abducting and torturing innocent Ugandans in his basement. Because of Life-presidency they behind the denial of bail and the inhibition of Dr. Besigye and Lukwago of this country from getting specialized medical treatment outside the country.

    1. Dear friend , you read my mind and asked a question that many Ugandans are asking . What exactly is THIS !
To which Church does Gen.Museveni really belong ? We all know that Patience and Rwabwogo were wedded in Church Of Uganda-not in Covenant Nations Church . We also know that their children were baptized in Church of Uganda . meaning that they all are registered members of Church Of Uganda Congregation . How then does Mrs Rwabwogo become a Bishop in a bomberstic ceremony conducted by imported “Bishops” ? Where is Archbishop Kazimba Mugalu in all this , busy living his life and avoiding to die !?!
The only logical answer in mind is that after Gen Museveni had finalized the rapid promotion of his son from LC to General in record time , he has now just completed yet another project of promoting his daughter to the first woman ” Bishop” of a Church that he and his wife have created . Some will say : “FAKE Church”
Here is what the bible says :”Woe to you hypocrites .You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of bones of the dead and everything unclean ”
BTW. Alex Mukulu sung a song “.. those that have impoverished us sit in front seats pretending that they care … selfish hypocrites that look good on the surface while they are like tombs full of dead people`s bones”
Mrs Museveni says : ” I survived the jaws of death”.
Thanks be to God we should say
But then, what do we do with this scripture :” If anyone says “I love God” and hates his/ her brother ,he/ she is a liar” Hmmm!
And this : “Do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach”

If Mrs was really wanted to practice what she and her daughter preach , they would open their closed hearts and tell Gen. Museveni and Gen Muhoozi : get Erias Lukwago , Dr Kiiza Besigye and all those innocent political prisoners OUT OF THE JAWS of your Basements .
” woe to you hypocrites “

      1. Betty, now that our PROBLEM OF AFRICA, Gen Tibuhaburwa (Holy Family) has publicly acquired his Household Bishop, it is high time our Clerics (Archbishops, Priests, Sheiks and Imams) woke up and understood; how this family despised and now has no relevance for them.

In other words, they were usually invited to our State House for so call “Thanksgiving or Breakfast Prayer, as a disguise for the Clerics to indirectly worship him/them.

In the political and religious history of this country, including the Colonial ones: all the Heads of State such as the Governors, always humbled themselves and went to pray in the public and official prayer places (Churches and/or Mosque), presided over by legitimate priests/Imam:

Even the apparent diabolic Amin (RIP) joined the rest of Muslims for the Juma prayers anywhere he went.

When in Entebbe, Obote (RIP); Godfrey Binaisa (RIP); Tito Lutwa (RIP) and families etc. were humble enough and walked down the streets and respectively prayed with Ugandans (either at the Anglican/Catholic Church), across the street from the State House.

When in Kampala, they prayed at Nakasero, Rubaga or Namirembe. But these ones, because they are atheist/animist (Evil), they are very uncomfortable with the regular church services.

        1. Sevo watched and listened to inside conversation while under Late Obote(RIP). Restoration of Kingdoms and returns of Indians were both social and economical approach though the hidden secrets were embedded in spiritual tapping. Did you ever wonder what keen relationship did Sevo have with Late Aghan, heads of State and spiritual leaders? The partnership with Aghan and other leaders are now gone…With the accumulated information from his herdsmen spy network, he came to know every household backyard, hidden secrets including their gods. Then, he acquired evil spiritual powers through cunning negations or stole whatever came faster! Now, he believes that he has these hidden secrets spiritual powers that he can market, share and has to harmonize in modern days, pass it over ONLY in his family tree. It’s a lie! The Baganda have a say, “Awa kula ente ennume, tewabula n’endala”(where there is grooming of a bull, there’s another bull always). The scriptures says, King Saul at onetime was grooming his son, and daughters to take over his legacy. God had already rejected King Saul and his family. God already had David in line. I believe God at onetime said, “I regret why I made Museveni President of Uganda”, especially with ongoing commercialization of gods of the Nile(Lake Victoria).

  2. “Janet survived the jaws of death”. For now, God has given you opportunity to totally repent from the Lubaale and other gods that your husband embraces & worship, renounce selling souls of innocent Ugandans to the gods, oppression, corruption, deceit and deceptions…If you could remember how Sevo survived Covid-19,then put 2 pieces together. When the Election were publicly stolen, it was either you or Muhoozi that would have been sacrificed to the gods. I wish Sevo could be specific which region his ancestors lived…Stop Masquerading on other people’s culture, background and identity, please be specific. Back to faith! Uganda and the world needs to be very careful about Mushroom churches as they have become grounds for indirect “Soul harvesting” for other gods. It calls for everyone to ground themselves in the word of God(Bible),ask for wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Sevo must have been thinking of his diehard Bishop Bamwoze of Busoga. Bamwoze did much harm in the faith of Basoga, Jinja and Uganda than any Bishop we/I could ever know, he quietly visited shrines for Lubaale consultation. I pray Bishop Patience doesn’t embrace Lubaale and other gods especially Nigerian or Congo gods. I don’t know why my alert system (Holy Spirit) tells me Muhoozi also was quietly coronated “King” in Mbuya; On Friday night in my vision I could hear Rwandese and Banyankole talking about heading to Mbuya for the ceremony. I hope I’m wrong about it! This calls for Ugandans to pray… I believe Ugandans are under the control of the spirit of Lubaale(Bachwezi),majin, and other gods, perhaps Nigerian gods too. The good news, Glory to God, when I fasted and prayed for sometimes, the Majin which are used to swap destiny and identity were burnt and destroyed in the atmosphere. No more Sevo & company stealing & riding on our stolen identities. We are taking back everything! The battle is of the Lord! You come to us with guns, isolation, bribes, oppression, corruption, deceit and deception, we come to you(Sevo & allies) IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, the creator of Heavens and Earth.

  3. Not long ago a law was passed forbidding foreigners from trespassing into our domestic social , economical and political affairs .
All of a sudden , we open our TVs only to watch as an American while woman “Bishop ” and two Nigerians install the first woman as “Bishop” , It seems as though the bar has now been lowered anybody can get themselves a title if they can pay for it .
All along , we`ve been told that “real balokole” / born again Pastors do not need ceremonial rituals or consecrations because Jesus has already done that by sending the Holy Spirit to deliver His instructions to them in private . What next, what has changed……?!
The whole thing looks bizarre .

    1. Uganda seats at the bottom of Pyramid, source of spiritual power of Egypt(Egyptian gods/Nile gods), Lake Victoria(Nalubaale) which means “mother” of gods. So do the math…build the puzzle. Jinja being on the gate of the Nile is the spiritual center. 1King 18 talks of Jezebel who was a spiritual engine of King Ahab…. Ugandans wake-up from sleeping. Museveni trades gods on Nalubaale, gods of the Nile which are attached to your souls.

  4. It’s all very well for Mrs Kataha Museveni to thank God for being saved from the jaws of death. Has she known any suffering in her life? It was just a simple matter of being put on plane and flown to places, where the leadership of those countries place emphasis on well trained and well paid medical personnel (even those on internship), and where health facilities are well provisioned. Where sustems and institutions generally work. During her recovery from her near-death experience, she and her daughter Bishop Patience Rwabogo should pray to God for the strength to make unannounced visits to any government hospitals in Kampala. After that, they then might begin to understand why it’s only them who are overjoyed that she survived the jaws of death.
