“Investigations are complete and were planning to take her to court on Wednesday but we have been informed its Joan Kagezi Memorial Day and judges might be attending the function. She will now face embezzlement charges in the Anti Corruption court on Thursday,” Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango said.

According to police, the Ndeeba branch managers and several clients have also recorded statements indicating that their accounts were tempered with. 

“We interviewed workers and managers of this branch including all clients whose accounts were allegedly tampered with,” Onyango said.
