Now dudes look for phone contacts, and can even pay to get them. I receive lots of calls and texts from people I have never met. In fact, I receive more calls from those I don’t know than from the people I know. In my line of work, nonetheless, that is allowed.
In the same breath, I am allowed to have phone contacts of people I have never met, or even hope to. But I have never understood why some babes get pissed when a random dude calls them.
If you bought a mobile phone thinking it will only be called by people you know, you are very wrong, my dear. Even the telephone contacts you have did not come with the handset. Some of you wonder why you are still single and desperate.
You spend days fasting and praying, then hang up on dudes just because they are calling you for the first time. Why don’t you take time to listen to a brother instead of turning the phone call into an interrogation?
If he wanted to be interrogated, he would have simply walked around wearing a red ribbon on the head. Simple. It is okay to be cautious about who calls you and their intentions, but it pays if you listen. Many people have been conned following such phone calls.
On the flip side, others have been pleasantly surprised by a random phone call.
How will you know which is which unless you listen? Over time, I have learnt to hang up first depending on the attitude of the caller.
If I call you by name, introduce myself and the reason for my calling, it would be rude for you to continue asking how I got your number. So, who gave you my number?
