On Friday, singer Sheebah Karungi successfully launched her maiden album at Hotel Africana People’s place.

Before she started performing, a short video was played where she narrated part of her story and in it she told the entire crowd she was born 27 years ago! Many jaws dropped at this.

Backstage after her performance, she told Star Trail, the good thing was that her mother was in the audience and could confirm her statement.
Clap! Clap! Clap! Well done, Sheebah.

Brian Lubega in worship concert

Gospel singer and pastor Brian Lubega invited his fans to a concert dubbed Amazing Grace last Friday evening at Silver Springs hotel in Bugolobi.

The lead pastor at Word Of Life Community Church gave Christian music lovers one amazing concert that ushered in the Christmas mood.
His album, Wegukubira was also released then.

The album, his second, has songs including Bunyuma, Kubayita, Ndi Wuwe, Asaanide, Oli Katonda, Wa Kitiibwa, Wegukubira and Victory.

Lubega is best known for his hit song, Nnungamya. He performed most of the songs off his debut album. Price Love, Blended Live band and Sam Kimera had earlier on the opened for Lubega.

Etihad crew impresses Kagonyera

A fortnight ago, Vivo Energy and City Tyres sponsored lucky winners to watch the Formula 1 grand finale in Abu Dhabi. One of the winners was PR guru Aggrey Kagonyera.

Kagonyera, who flew courtesy of Etihad, seems to have had quite a time with the hostesses because ever since his return, he has been posting pictures of him with the hostesses on his social pages.

Runtown to headline ASFA acts

Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Runtown (born Douglas Jack Agu) is set to be the headline act for the Abryanz Style and Fashion awards scheduled for Friday at Kampala Serena hotel.

In Kampala, he is known for songs such as Bend Down Pause and Lagos to Kampala, featuring Wizkid.

Runtown will head a star-studded lineup of performers and fashion designers from different parts of the continent.

DJ Crisio, Maurice Kirya, Bebe Cool, Irene Namubiru, Radio and Weasel, Allan Toniks and Ceaserous are some of the Ugandans lined up to perform.

Kenya’s Avril is also lined up for the fashion awards show. Big Brother hotshot winner Idris Sultan from Tanzania will host the awards ceremony.
