People are quick to dismiss Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, questioning why any cinema would even bother to show the film, until they realize that its 2023 predecessor, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, made a whopping $205 million on a $30 million budget.
The Canadian franchise started as a children’s animated show about a young boy who works with a team of search and rescue dogs called Paw Patrol. Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie is the latest theatrical installment, directed by Cal Brunker (Paw Patrol: The Movie, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, The Nut Job 2, Escape from Planet Earth).
In the film, the Paw Patrol is trapped on an alien world inhabited by dinosaurs. Rather than panick, the crew decides to save the endangered species from a nefarious force.
Is this the kind of film you will enjoy? Probably not. But it gives you the perfect opportunity to introduce your preteens to the cinema.
