Paddington in Peru, directed by Dougal Wilson, finds Paddington in the jungles of Peru. The lovable bear returns home after learning that his elderly aunt has gone missing.
The first two Paddington films are beloved. They were also directed by Paul King. This raises two problems. First, Paul King did not return for the third installment. Secondly, this is Dougal Wilson’s feature directorial debut.
He spent his career making commercials and music videos. This would explain the early reviews, which claim that Paddington 3 is good (92 percent critic score) but is the weakest film in the series.
