It is the midst of incoming First Order military invasion that seeks to wipe out the New Republic and restore the Old Galactic Empire that had collapsed prior to the early events of The Force Awakens.

The New Republic and joint resistance movements led by General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher – RIP) who with the help of her brother Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Finn and Poe Dameron stage a last stand for the defense of the Galaxy.  

The film stars Oscar Isaac (X-Men: Apocalypse), John Boyega (Detroit, Half of a Yellow Sun), Mark Hamill (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Adam Driver (This Is Where I Leave You), Daisy Ridley (Murder on the Orient Express), Andy Serkis (War for the Planet of the Apes, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy) Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave, Queen of Katwe) and Benicio del Toro (The Usual Suspects, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, Sicario).

The Last Jedi is directed by Rian Johnson (Looper) and has received high acclaim from film critics. The movie opens at Century Cinemax, Acacia mall this Friday.
