Mirinda Uganda has partnered with tech and courier company Glovo to launch the “Sip a Mirinda, Spread the Smile” campaign, aiming to deliver 2,000 surprises across Kampala over the next four weeks.
The global campaign was originally launched in November 2025, with Uganda being among the first markets worldwide to bring the platform to life. Under this initiative, any Ugandan can surprise a friend, partner, colleague, or loved one with a gift to brighten their day amidst daily struggles or work pressure.
To participate, participants can simply text Mirinda Uganda on WhatsApp at +256 791 131 122 to place an order and personalize a message for their recipient.
According to Pearl Kitimbo, brand manager for Mirinda at Crown Beverages Limited, recipients will receive a surprise package within an hour. The bundle includes a Mirinda, a personal message from their friend, and an additional gift at no extra cost.
“Mirinda has always been about bringing color, energy, and fun into people’s lives,” Kitimbo said. “With ‘Send a Smile,’ we wanted to take that a step further and give people a simple way to brighten someone else’s day. Whether you are stuck in traffic, coming out of a long day at work, or dealing with the pressures of school, a small, unexpected gesture can completely change your mood. We want Mirinda to be the trigger for that smile.”
