Jonathan Majors

Jabbari grabbed his phone and he fought to retrieve it, twisting her arm and striking her head. The car stopped and Majors left. Jabbari followed, but Majors forced her back into the car and walked away. Majors argues that he acted in self-defense. His team produced evidence showing that Jabbari was not nearly as distressed by their fight as she claimed.

Despite her allegedly bruised finger and the blood behind her ear, cameras caught her partying at a club in the subsequent hours. Additionally, she showed up at his apartment unannounced, called him 32 times, and also sent him texts suggesting that she supported his version of events following his arrest. She even revealed that the prosecutor was charging Majors with assault without her blessing.

Disney fired him mere hours after his guilty verdict surfaced. The reaction makes sense; Disney is a family-friendly brand. It would taint their reputation to associate the MCU with Majors when so many viewers believe he is guilty of abusing and emotionally manipulating Jabbari.

But that raises a question. What happens next for the MCU? Majors was the face of the multiverse saga, the next Thanos. Marvel introduced the character in Loki Season One and Quantamania with the intention of laying the groundwork for a conflict that would climax in Kang Dynasty, the next Avengers film.

Now that Majors is gone, what happens to Kang? Loki Season 2 essentially wrote the character out of the picture. Loki took the throne, Victor Timely returned to his timeline, and the TVA changed its mission. Now, they spend their days stopping Kang’s variants. The MCU could easily detour away from the Kang storyline.

Diehard comic book fans want Doom to step into Kang’s role. Others think Arishem from Eternals is a sufficient villain for an Avengers film.
However, we have heard rumours that Marvel has no intention of abandoning the Kang storyline, which means they want to recast the role. You have probably seen online campaigns calling for Denzel Washington to replace Majors.

I’m curious to see how Marvel navigates these tricky waters and whether they will stick to their original plan or shift lanes.
