The first edition of Kings of Turntables was going so well until the heavens opened up, letting off such a heavy downpour that it almost brought the party to a standstill.
The platform that had been set up for the performances at Panamera had to be pulled down and the DJs retreated to the DJ’s box from where they played all night.
Although many patrons decided to stay and dance in the rain, the brains behind the event, DJ Aludah, has since decided the event will be moved to another location.
Going by the adage, once bitten twice shy, this year’s edition will happen tomorrow at The Square.
This venue, located on 3rd street, Industrial area, has become the go-to one for its accessibility and setup.
With the issue of venue sorted, how about the lineup? Four big-time DJs are set to give revelers the wildest party of them all.
Kenya’s DJ Hypnotiq, KonkMukiga, DJ Crisio and Sir Aludah, the event’s host, will be behind the turntables, keeping showgoers on their feet all night long.
Aludah is an award-winning spin master who has earned his place as one of Uganda’s most respected, with a career spanning a couple of years.
Some of his most notable career accolades include winning Pilsner’s 2010 Spin Master Awards, working for Channel O as a VJ and performing with top musicians, including Jamaica’s Busy Signal and Konshens.
Entrance is Shs 15,000.
