Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them is a Harry Potter prequel set in 1926 New York City.
Fantastic Beasts introduces Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a former student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Scamander, after getting expelled, travels the world documenting magical creatures and protecting those that are on the brink of extinction.
On his arrival in New York, his briefcase gets accidently mixed up with another. Trouble ensues as creatures escape from the case and he must set out to recapture them and thwart an unknown force that is causing havoc in the city.
The film casts Carmen Ejogo, Colin Ferrell, Johnny Depp, Ezra Miller and Ron Perlman. If you loved Harry Potter, this spinoff will make you want to watch the trilogy again.
