Sunday is a tricky day for concerts, but NTV presenter Douglas Lwanga believes in his brand –The Purple Party.
Last Sunday The Beat presenter took his Purple Party to Uganda Museum gardens, with great success. The popular annual do celebrates good music with patrons dressed in purple.

Lwanga promised more than 100 artistes this edition; although he did not have that number, he had the key artistes on stage and the museum gardens were full.
On stage, Gravity Omutujju, Ziza Bafana and Rabadaba thrilled the audience. Vampino killed it with his Smart Wire hit single. And the party was made crazier with the lineup of DJs Slick Stuart and Roja, Selector Jay, Crim, and Brian Ting Dis.
Artistes seemed to be out to prove a point; unfortunately Winnie Nwagi arrived late and could not perform, as did Irene Ntale. But that was made up for by comedians Madd Rat and Chico, Jaja Bruce and Kobusheshe, who cracked up the crowd.

The highlight, however, was when Chameleone fired up the audience followed by Bebe Cool, before Bobi Wine came on and basically owned the show. He kicked off with Mazzi Mawavu and then Manya Size Yo, which had the crowd go wild.
The audience partied to way past midnight.
