Speaking at the ceremony, Ignie Igundura, the instituteās chairman of governing council, disclosed that they intend to become a fully fledged design university in the future.
āWe started small in 2010 but now we have students from as far as DR Congo and South Sudan, which is a mark of confidence in our programmes,ā He said.
Igundura added that the graduates were ready to make a positive impact by competing for jobs or creating their own employment in such expert fields such as e-commerce, e-government and e-shopping, among others.

Jemimah Atim, who qualified in 3D animation and digital media design, was excited in her comments and praise for Artfield staff.Ā
Atim said she would not be writing any job applications as she had already secured a position at Creatures Animation Studios, a private firm founded by one of her lecturers at the institute.
Currently, most of Artfield graduates are employed by major advertising or public relations agencies and media houses.
Chris Wasswa, the instituteās resident country director, said this why they chose FireWorks Advertising creative director Conrad Okello as the chief guest at their graduation ceremony.
