Over 1,000 participants are expected to attend the Alliance for Rural Electrification’s (ARE) Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) – both online and in-person in Kampala, Uganda on April 8-10, 2025.
EAIF 2025 is organised by ARE and supported by GET.invest, a European programme mobilising investment in renewable energy. GET.invest is co-funded by the European Union, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden and Austria.
The forum is going to be held under the patronage of Uganda’s ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. This special 10-year edition of the forum will take place at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Attendees will include private and public investors, industry leaders and government officials, offering an unparalleled networking and knowledge-sharing experience. Speaking ahead of the forum, Dr Ruth Nankabirwa, minister of Energy and Mineral Development, stated that the forum presents a unique opportunity to engage in the global conversation on energy access, decarbonisation and climate action to drive impactful solutions for the future of energy.
Sodranoius Okasai Opolot, state minister for Energy, added that EAIF 2025 is a key milestone in accelerating energy access and investment in Africa.

The event will provide exceptional matchmaking opportunities with international investors, private sector representatives, and government officials. Participants will gain insights into the latest market trends through interactive sessions and explore a dynamic exhibition featuring both international and local companies and organisations.
David Lecoque, CEO of ARE remarked that EAIF 2025 marks a decade of catalysing investments and partnerships in the DRE sector. He said this year’s agenda places energy access at the forefront and explores interconnection with greening industry, e-mobility, productive use.
