Jumah Lubega, their brother-in-law, ushered them to the tents and served them with a sumptuous lunch before the introduction ceremony started.

At 3pm, Zurah Lubega (Munnah’s auntie) was tasked to introduce to her anxious family the members in Kagere’s entourage, and as she showed them the groom bedecked in a kanzu, the Lubega family looked satisfied with what they saw.

As it clocked 4:30pm, a pretty Munnah emerged from her father’s house with her uncle Hajji Twaha Lubega and Zurah Lubega to greet her new in-laws.

“I am happy that my daughter has given me a very good name, brought me a Muslim man and will have respect in the community. I bless her marriage and advise her to respect her marriage,” Lubega said.

Mariam Namuli Lubega, the bride’s mother, advised her daughter to respect her in-laws and have faith in order to overcome challenges in their marriage.

The family was rewarded with numerous gifts, including five cows, a 52-inch plasma TV screen, gas cooker, 10 bags of cement and other gifts.

How they met
“I met Counsel Kagere at my workplace; I saw him as a very respectful and kind person. This [convinced] my heart and since then, our love is just flowing,” Munnah said.

At the climax of the function, a joyful Munnah thanked her guests and in-laws for the special day.
She said everything went as she planned.
