Rally Ace Posiano Lwakataka is to compete in his fourth rally this year during the Boxing Day championship sprint, to be held at the Festino circuit in Mukono on December 26.
Already, over 20 drivers have confirmed participation in this Southern Motor club -organized rally, although it is clear Lwakataka appears really geared up to follow the adage that first never follows.
Lwakataka, who drives a Subaru N8, is confident despite having had mechanical problems for much of this season.
“My car is in fine condition. And although this event is going to have many good drivers, I am ready for anyone.”

Although, he admits that he was not oblivious of the challenge awaiting him from top guns such as Ronald Ssebuguzi and Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru.
Other drivers and riders confirmed for the race are Arthur Blick Jr, Musa Kabega, Yusuf Bukenya, Peter Kalule, Fred Wampamba, Shafiq Ssemujju, Allan Gayi, Samuel Bwete, Sabiiti Muyanja, Tim Gawaya, Musa Kizito and Ismail Ortega.
Podium finishers will get a bull and goats, as prizes. Lwakataka has promised to slaughter a bull there and then for his fans if he wins the event.
Meanwhile, this rally will also be used in part to pay tribute to fallen Major Muhammad Kiggundu, who was assassinated last month near his home. The late Kiggundu played a big role in promoting Motocross when he introduced his children to the sport.
