Gulu town came alive last Sunday as the Gulu edition of the Color Fun Run took centre stage.
The five-kilometer race attracted hundreds of Gulu residents and the Uganda Waragi-sponsored event was part of the 16 Days of Activism global campaign against gender-based violence.

Through this activity, the organizers intended to create awareness of the campaign and galvanize action to end violence against women and girls, particularly in northern Uganda.
The run started off with an hour of exercise drills at the Acholi Inn gardens, followed by the flagging off of the run. At each kilometer, runners were sprayed with a variety of vibrant powdered paints.
Participants were later treated to an after-party at BJz bar, one of Gulu’s top nightlife spots. The after- party featured discounted Uganda Waragi cocktails, music, nyama choma and lots of fun.
