The third season of Uganda’s exhilarating reality TV show, Kampala Crème promises even more drama, captivating storylines, unexpected twists and a deeper dive into the lives of some of Kampala’s socialites, with a renewed focus on celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit, resilience and luxury.
The new season, which premieres on June 1, 2025 on Pearl Magic Prime, will see the introduction of three dynamic cast members, bringing the total to five leading ladies, up from four in the previous two seasons.
The new cast members include socialite and entrepreneur Sheena Holm, TV host and influencer Umrah Murungi, and entrepreneur and socialite Prima Nassozi aka Prima Kardashi.
These will join original cast members; media personality Zahara Toto and entrepreneur Deborah Nantongo Cleave aka Mami Deb. Etania; singer Laika will not be returning this season. During the announcement of the return of the show at MultiChoice Uganda head office in Kololo, it was evident that battle lines are already drawn between some of the new cast members and the old.
When it was Prima’s turn to address the audience, she did not take long to come at Zahara Toto, calling her “old”. And when Prima mentioned that Kampala Creme called when her life was hitting rock bottom and she was reading a book titled From Ruins to Reign, Zahara interjected that it was a lie because Prima cannot read.
The two then started body shaming each other before Zahara walked out saying she would come back after Prima’s “kindergarten speech”.
“I am a believer and I have been praying. You are going to see me be baptized on the show and transforming into a better person because this is like my new journey. But of course, what is Prima without drama? If you come for me, I will come back at you without a filter,” she said.
Umrah Mulungi vowed to expose some two-faced people on the show. She gave shoutouts to her fellow cast members, skipping Mami Deb and pretending she had not noticed her presence, signaling potential beef between the two. Umrah said there is a lot of fakeness around and whether Mami Deb is that fakeness, we are yet to find out.
“I am a lifestyle creator and I feel like when people see my content on social media, they feel like I could be sharing everything about me but that is not the case. I edit my content but the version of me on the show is going to be unedited,” she said.
Danish/Ugandan Sheena Holm revealed how she fought with the show’s content director Judithiana Namazzi almost every day on set, because of dressing apparently like a stripper, not wanting to wear makeup since she believes that she is naturally beautiful and cursing too much.
She described herself as an entrepreneur who owns a resort by the lake and a ‘planned kid’ who didn’t start from the bottom. Meanwhile, Mami Deb revealed how much she has enjoyed shooting this season. It being her third one, it has gotten easier with time and she promised more transparency to the viewers on her side because at times she even forgot that the cameras were there or the mics were still on when she said certain things.
Rinaldi Jamugisa, MultiChoice’s Public Relations and Communications manager, said they are committed to elevating local content that reflects the lives, energy and culture of their viewers.
“We have seen shows like these across the globe but we are bringing something home-grown which our viewers can easily relate to. With shows like Kampala Crème, we are building stars, strengthening the creative economy and elevating Uganda’s voice across Africa,” said Jamugisa.
Namazzi, who also produces the show, expressed her excitement with the release of the new season, highlighting growth in the Ugandan entertainment industry. She said season three is a bold evolution of the show with an expanded cast, deepened storytelling and an entire elevated production to reflect the richness, resilience and complexity of Kampala’s iconic women.
“This season, we are telling powerful stories of ambition, sisterhood and self-discovery. It is real, raw and unapologetically Ugandan.”
