For the fans in attendance, they were excited to see Afrie perform her hit song Gusula

Despite the rain on Saturday evening, fans thronged Bight of Benin, Kyadondo road for the Ggulu album listening party by gospel artiste Afrie.

The listening party featured Kenneth Mugabi, Ann Makula, Wake the Poet and gospel band Bunjoville, while others such as Maurice Kirya and Solome Basuuta cheered on in the crowd.

Bunjoville was the opening act, and they kept fans happy with their new song Keep Your Head In The Sky, which even attracted an encore demand from the audience. Makula performed a few songs from her new album, including Amos and Psalms 112, causing the crowd to go into a meditation mode.

When Afrie came on stage, she told fans the story behind Ggulu album and described it as a journey of finding herself and how the album helped show her there is heaven within us, thus the name Ggulu.

Fans responded well to her Ssaabalwanyi and Blessings, to which they sang along word for word. With good sound and aesthetics, Afrie invited Kenneth Mugabi and they told the incredible story behind the making of their collaboration, Gusula Wano, and how it came to be the hit it is today.

Afrie and Mugabi then sang Gusula Wano to crown a memorable evening, despite the rain threatening to derail the party.
