The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has granted telecom giant, MTN Uganda a new number range prefix, 079.
According to a press release, effective immediately, new customers can acquire MTN numbers between the 0790000000 and 0790999999 range.
The statement says this development does not affect existing MTN numbers. The 079 prefix joins MTN Uganda’s other ranges; 077, 078, 031, 039, 076.

My only discrepancy with MTN UGANDA is you giving out our numbers when we have gone for missions outside our country for a period of a year.
But mtn should work on the network issues in the villages. Most villages have network access problem
