Are you facing any difficulty downloading a video, or wondering which application is best suitable for that trending clip on Facebook?

You don’t have to suffer anymore. Social media can be overwhelming, especially with the many events on these platforms today.

For instance, with stringent restrictions on what to say through the mainstream platforms, some individuals have turned to social media to air out their frustrations.

Although many see the messages, having to watch them time and again consumes data, yet downloading the content could save the user some data.

According to Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET)’s IT expert Abdurazak Saitoti Letowon, Vidmate is the application that can download videos from any website to your mobile phone or computer. The application allows you to search, view and download from any website of your choice.

“It has auto download. With your account login, you are able to download videos from all sites,” Letowon says. 

Vidmate is more or less a precise search engine for videos. With one click, the user will access numerous portals for the best downloadable version of the video they are interested in.

The application also allows for choosing the quality of video according to the user’s discretion. It allows you to download movies, TV series and music videos, among other related media.

The application is available on Google Play Store. On the Android phone, it takes about 20Mbs of the memory. The free application also gives details about trending videos on websites such as YouTube.

“The ratings are good. Given that it supports multiple websites, I think it’s the best so far,” he says.

However, the application only functions on Android-powered smartphones and tablets running on version 2.2 or higher.
