SC Villa and URA FC clash in the Uganda Premier League on Friday, November 1 at a venue to be confirmed today by the competition organisers.
The Jogoos, who have enjoyed a fairly good start to the season, have 16 points with four wins, four draws and a loss. But the aim remains to keep the league leaders Vipers SC within touching distance.
Villa coach Edward Kaziba has urged his charges to maintain the momentum, thus far. Villa are yet to win two successive games this season. After drawing goalless with Maroons FC in their last game on October 12, a win over URA is essential. On the other hand, URA, who have 10 points, go into Friday’s match with psychological advantage.
Last season, URA took four points off Villa. But their coach Sam Ssimbwa says the team is yet to perform to his expectation, considering the quality therein. After beating Onduparaka FC 2-1 in Arua, they returned home only to draw one-all with BUL FC.
Meanwhile, in games played Tuesday, Vipers beat Kyetume 2-1, Police defeated Wakiso Giants 2-1 while Express FC lost 1-2 to visiting Busoga United at Wankulukuku. Bright Stars and BUL shared spoils after a one-all draw.
