Electoral violence claims 3 lives in Isingiro

Three people have lost their lives in electoral violence in Isingiro district. The dead are Wilber Nkabadiho, a resident of Katuragye village Katuragye sub-county, Musa Bright, a resident of Rugaga trading centre and Gordon Muhumuza, 20, a resident of Karo A111, central ward Kabuyanda town council.

Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region police spokesperson, says Nkabandiho was shot dead by a private guard Siddi Katiikiro who fired at rowdy voters in Katuragye cell in Isingiro town council. According to information from some residents, the deceased was a polling agent of Dr Ponsiano Mugyenyi, the rival of Bright Rwamirama, Isingiro County MP.

Musa was shot by a UPDF soldier in Rugaga trading centre. He breathed his last while being rushed to Mbarara regional referral hospital for treatment. According to Kasasira, Musa was hit as UPDF officers dispersed supporters of Jeremiah Kamurari, one of the candidates for Bukanga West became violent.

Muhumuza, on the other hand, was killed in mob action. According to Kasasira, the deceased was lynched by the mob around 4:00 pm when he tried to interfere with the electoral process.

“Our preliminary investigations show that the deceased who got late at the polling centre, tried to interfere with the election process, which annoyed people and they started beating him until death,” he said.

He said police have started hunting for the mob members to face the law.

“We are seriously investigating all these incidents especially for the UPDF officers so that we can arrest one who is in hiding now," he said.

Wisdom Colleb, an eyewitness to the mob action, says people turned rowdy when they heard that soldiers had shot people in the neighbouring Isingiro town council.

“Tension started rising after news started making rounds that soldiers had shot the supporters of Dr Posiano Mugyenyi. People got annoyed and stoned Muhumza to death after he tried to hide some declaration forms,” he said.

I wish voters knew that no candidate is worth their lives, they would act diligently and wisely during vote hunting, at polling stations and after voting.

These politicians never get to remember that you were a martyr who died for their cause, to them, live must continue while your family suffers

kabayekka, rightly put!

Ugandans MUST NOT risk going for next fake presidential election, but MUST bring down the tribalistic system NOW, UNITE & come out in FULL to block Museveni & force him out!

Why are Ugandans digging their own graves in the zone formed by their tribl lands, yet belongs to Museveni who is going no where unless thrown out in UNITY?

As long as the tribalistic system stands, Museveni knows no developed country will come to help Ugandans, not even UN!

Please, Ugandans, it's time we wake up & stop Museveni using us against one another & rule for life!

Museveni has already won the fake election so why keep dying, kill one another, when it will still be him in post?

But if Ugandans hold on to the tribalistic system, formation of Independent Tribal States NOW will save every tribe from Museveni!

WADADA rogers, thanks.

It's time Ugandans think of the next generation & not sacrifice it too!

Why is Museveni left in peace with rights to lead Ugandans to more fake elelctions?

Without bringing down the tribalistic system & UNITY to block Museveni, he's going no where & Ugandans will continue killing, arresting, imprisoning...one another while he rules with smile on his face!

Why do Ugandans belive migrant Museveni has the right to treat them as he wishes, in the country formed by their tribal lands?

What birth rights do Ugandans have?

That's how deadly African stupidity and/or ignorance can get!!!

And none of them will learn that vital lesson that none of the dead will be remembered by thatMP candidate in the unlikely or likely event that he/ she wins.

In other words, where do all these fracas in the NRM camp leave Mr. M7 and his bogus fundamental change and/or no change?

All what is happening in this country is the direct reflection and face of Mr. M7.

Because it was a do or die in order to become the president of this country; Mr. M7 had to kill for it and crown himself "the Master of Violence". If the NRM chairman is the Master of Violence, what would stop his followers from resorting violence to get what they want?

As a result, the desperation, violence, killing in the name of accessing political elective positions have become a life and death reality in Uganda. In desperation, some Ugandans are murdering each other in order to suck our blood in the next 5 years after the 2021 General election.

What a shameful country we live and get murdered in everyday, in the name of fundamental change!

Mbeho Achuc,

Agreed, but,

It's to protect & ensure children's/grand kids future in a FREE Uganda that we MUST fight for!

What did those who were 18 years old in 1986 gain from Museveni & at +50, how do their kids live & expect as Museveni is assured of continuity, yet Ugandans fight/kill one another?

How many of those who were 30 years old in 1986 still live & how, what about their children/grand kids?

What do Ugandans still hope Museveni does for them?

Lakwena,

Ugandans MUST not let Museveni lead them to the final death trap "next fake presidential election"!

Without bringing down the tribalistic system & UNITY to ensure Museveni is blocked & forced out, Ugandans MUST go for Independent Tribal States & NOW!

Why will Museveni rule +35 years while Ugandans fight/kill one another?

Why are tribal leaders quiet, just watch Ugandans kill one another while they ensure the tribalistic system stands firm, thus Museveni is safe, but Ugandans at war with one another?

In the absence of UNITY, why is Acholiland not FREE from Museveni's Uganda?

Is Museveni concerned about Ugandans are killing one another?

35 years of demon Museveni +++++++++WHY?
