UNEB invigilator found dead in her room

A Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) invigilator at St Barnabas secondary school in Karujanga in Katuna town council in Kabale district to monitor the ongoing Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams has been found dead.

28-year-old Sarah Ayebazibwe, a mathematics and physics teacher at St Janan Luwum Memorial secondary school in Kamuganguzi sub-county in Kabale district was found dead in her rented room in Kyonyo trading centre in Katuna town council.

Rev Benon Byaruhanga, the headteacher of St Janan Luwum Memorial says Ayebazibwe was found dead in her rented house in Kyonyo trading centre, Katuna town council on Tuesday evening.
Byaruhanga, who is also the supervisor at Katuna Uneb station 59, says that Ayebazibwe was last seen on Monday invigilating exams but didn’t turn on Tuesday without any explanation.

He says the deceased’s body has been taken to Kabale regional referral hospital for a postmortem. Ely Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson, says police will issue a statement on the matter later, saying they have scanty information at the moment.

The deceased Ayebazibwe is also a second-year student of Bachelor’s degree in Education at Bishop Barham University College in Kabale.

Tragic! May her soul be at peace. After all this life can be such a nuisance.
