NRM disowns "nailed" supporter

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party leadership in Mbale district has disowned a man who claims to have been nailed in the mouth for composing a song praising President Yoweri Museveni.

It came after Isaac Katoogo alias Ambassador wa Yesu, a resident of Kiteeso cell in Namakwekwe ward in Northern division claimed that three masked men intercepted him on Monday evening around Nkoma, a Mbale town suburb and drove nails through his cheek.

They reportedly accused him of composing a song in praise of Museveni and his NRM party. However, the NRM party leadership in Mbale has disowned Katoogo, saying they don’t know him as one of their supporters. Muhamood Masaba, the Mbale district NRM chairperson told journalists in the Mbale resident district commissioner’s office Wednesday that the NRM secretariat in Mbale doesn’t know Katoogo.

Barasa Ogajjo, the Mbale district resident commissioner also dismissed claims that Katoogo was nailed. He said a report from the police pathologist doesn’t show that there wasn't any force used to drive a nail through the claimant’s cheek. He said Katoogo is a fraudster who's trying to dupe the party and particularly President Museveni into giving him money.

John Robert Tukei, the Elgon Region police spokesperson said that they have forwarded Katoogo to the headquarters of the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) for further interrogations. He says that Katoogo risks being charged with providing police with false information should his allegations turn out to be false.

Katoogo isn’t the first person to claim that he has been nailed because of his support for NRM. Last month, Baker Kasumba, a resident of Kivuulu in Kawempe division reported to Kibe police post in Kalerwe with two-inch six nails in his palms.

Kasumba claimed he had been attacked by two men accusing him of supporting the ruling NRM party. They reportedly drive the nails through his palms to teach a lesson. No suspect has been arrested in connection to the attack.

The NRM party has been reduced to a doll for all to play with, after all, the chairman and the entire secretariat would come running to rescue and give money, this guys should have taken poison in order to compel the party to come for burial and possibly give his family some money.

If the purpose was to soil the good name of people power, they are doomed

But honestly, some people are determined to die of something else but not poverty.

From the picture, it appears this guy intentionally drilled a nail through his own flesh all in the name of wanting money from NRM, i think this is what they call stupidity

Nail him properly then, - through the skull, if he is fraudster.

In other words, unlike others like Mr. M7 and his Generals like Tumwiine, who sacrificed the lives and properties of thousands of Ugandans in the bushes of Luweero; and made claim that they sacrificed themselves: flesh and blood in order to liberate Ugandans, at least Isaac Katoogo sacrificed himself, by nailing his own mouth not those of other Ugandans.

What a country!

And maybe Isaac Katoogo took Jesus seriously when said in Matt 5:29 that: if your eyes cause you to sin/problem pluck them out. If you hands cause problem cut them off, and if your mouth causes you the trouble of telling lies nail it shut.

Screw you mouth!

Actually I had meant that he should be nailed through the head JUDICIALLY. and not EXTRA-JUDICIALLY. I am sorry for that earlier omission.

In other words Karemire, although e.g., the Romans stuck to letters of the laws; do you know why they had to resort crucifixion as punishment for capital offenders?

It was because of the stubbornness of the Jews. Otherwise, crucifixions were not carried in other parts of the Roman Empire/territoris. It was only carried out in Palestine (Judea)
