Buganda Road Magistrate's court has remanded events and music promoter Andrew Mukasa also known as Bajjo to Luzira prison for one week. 

Mukasa appeared before Grade One magistrate Stella Maris Amabilis and two charges of incitement to violence and offensive communication were read to him.

Prosecution alleges that Mukasa at various places in Masaka, Kampala, Ibanda incited the public against the person of the president.

Prosecution further states that in the same areas, Mukasa willfully and repeatedly with intent to disturb the person and privacy of the president, recorded a video and posted it on social media containing inciting messages. 

Mukasa reportedly used his mobile phone to record a video, saying that he was going to overthrow the government of Uganda before 2021.  

When he was asked to take plea, Mukasa pleaded guilty to offensive communication. However his lawyer Erias Lukwago pleaded with the magistrate to re-read the charges to Mukasa. 

The magistrate was forced to remand Bajjo to Luzira prison to allow court get a fluent Luganda interpreter who can translate for him the charges.
