President Yoweri Museveni has offered to procure vestments for the African bishops coming to attend the symposium of Episcopal Conference of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM) later in July this year.

The high-level meeting to be hosted in Uganda will mark the golden jubilee of SECAM. Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the Archbishop of Kampala says Museveni has confirmed the offer in a communication to the Uganda Episcopal Conference.

Dr Lwanga says providing the vestments will be the contribution of the president towards the Golden Jubilee. He told millions of Christians gathered at Namugongo to commemorate the Uganda Martyrs Day today Monday. He, however, did not reveal the cost of the clerical dresses.

“We urge you to pray for us as we prepare for that golden jubilee celebration and the meeting. It will also climax with a celebration here at Namugongo on July 29th” he said while addressing the mammoth crowd at Namugongo Martyrs Shrine.

In his speech read by Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi, Museveni related the courage of the Uganda Martyrs to that of freedom fighters of the National Resistance Army (NRA) during the bush war. Museveni urged the Church to preach hard work among Christians saying even miracles cannot come without work.

Museveni applauded Gulu Archdiocese for successfully organizing this year’s Martyrs’ Day celebrations. He also paid tribute to pilgrims from Kenya who perished in fatal road accidents during their pilgrimage to Namugongo.

“I urge us to observe a moment of silence as we pray for them. That is something which could have been avoided if the driver was not reckless. As Uganda government, we condemn it and pray for their families” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of Congo Brazzaville Jean Claude Gakosso said it is miraculous to be in Namugongo to celebrate the martyrdom of the Uganda Martyrs adding that their presence is felt all the way to the Congo River in Congo Brazzaville.

The Apostolic Nuncio to Uganda Archbishop Luigi Bianco who celebrated the Uganda Martyrs’ Day for the first time following his recent appointment, said witness of faith of the young martyrs in the beginning of evangelization of Uganda is a great example for all the Christians.

“The question may arise, from where they received they received the strength and the courage of fidelity to the gospel until the offering of their young lives? The answer is their fidelity was the gift of the Holy Spirit. Hence, these martyrs invite us to trust in God and also teaches us that it is possible to accomplish the will of God even in difficult situations” he stated.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
Acts 8:20-24 But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.

Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.” And Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that nothing of what you have said may come upon me
.”Deuteronomy 27:25 “‘Cursed be anyone who takes a bribe to shed innocent blood.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

After making empty promises to Ugandans for decades, the dictator now wants to deceive the clergy hoping that the citizens will be deceived as well.

Lysol, agreed, but,

Museveni is a very very rich man kind man ruling kind Ugandans who serve him in peace! When you have money, you spend it on who ever you want to help, right?

Ugandans are OK with Museveni; didn't take chance to UNITE around Dr Besigye, are not doing so with mp Bobi Wine, whicl leaves Museveni the only one our people want, right?

+33 years still counting, Ugandans still like up to Museveni, maintained in place by the tribalistic system without which he has no land to stand on in the zone!

Have tribal leaders complained, want to stand down to bring to crumbles the tribalistic system & Museveni with it?

USA/EU/UN are against Sudan military for getting at a UNITED people, so all Sudanese need is the leadership to ensure the gunmen hand over!

But Museveni is maintained by tribalistically divided & ruled at peace with the system that enslaves them to him!

African bishops will openly be serving Museveni & not God!

Funny, French president has no right to donate tax money for reconstruction of Nôtre Dame that, through tourism, bring billions to Frenchy government through tax! But private/personal donations from French catholics & all over the world has brought billions of euros already!

Ugandans should be very very proud, thier life time president, is so so kind, make the entire world admire the country so well governed & the rest of poor Africans will also be included in this kind of donation!

When will Ug. tribal leaders damnd more money or don't they deserve it because they & their families are well served/provided for already?

Quoting Isaac Musinguzi:
After making empty promises to Ugandans for decades...

Museveni is doing just what he has to do as he is assured of his position by his obedient slaves' loyalty & services that bring him the pocket money he needs to spend on those he wants to help!

Museveni owns Uganda & it's tax money & wants to help the rest of Africans too!

After all, why would the owner of Uganda & it's tax money not do as he pleases & who will stop him?
