Bobi Wine attempts to engage the police

Police has sealed off Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine's One Love beach in Busabala akin to a crime scene in attempt to block the legislator's scheduled music concert.

Bobi Wine, who was similarly blocked from performing at Ggaba beach yesterday, has been told that under no circumstance, will his music concert be allowed to take place because it wasn't cleared by the police.

In a Facebook post on his official page, Bobi Wine said the officers deployed a few minutes past midnight shortly after stopping another concert in Ggaba where he was scheduled to perform.

Rashid Agero, the Field Force Commander said that he is under instructions from his superiors to stop the concert because the organisers didn't seek police clearance.

"A few minutes past midnight, hordes of soldiers have been dropped by military trucks in Busabala. They have surrounded my premises at One Love beach, where we were organizing a Boxing Day show later today," read the message.

He said the officers ordered the stage and sound engineers to bring down the stage and pull down all materials they had put in place for the show.

"They have arrested my employees including the kitchen staff and all the people who were preparing to sell merchandise at the show. They have sent away our guests who were lodging at the beach tonight and ordered all people out of the premises," he added.

Bobi Wine condemned the police decision to block his concert, saying it is affecting several innocent people.

"I know very well these police officers are being used and don't like what they are doing because they studied the law and don't appreciate being forced to break the law.

Because some of the people whose rights are being violated are their relatives who had come here to vend merchandise but we know that with time we shall overcome this," he said.

Last week, Bobi Wine petitioned parliament over the continued blocking of his concerts by the government. Ever since he joined parliament and became a harsh critic of President Yoweri Museveni's government, he has seen several of his concerts blocked on similar grounds that they were not sanctioned by the police.

When a lion is on the hunt you can almost predict that the hyenas are closeby.

This time I saw hyenas only roaming the empty fields.

No meat!Ekyana kyarema.Surely is this is not the same thing as Kyarenga.
