Seven killed, 17 injured in Buvuma accident

Seven people have been confirmed dead and 17 others injured in an accident that occurred this evening in Walwanda village, Buvuma district.
According to police, the truck, registration number UAR 241M failed to negotiate a corner at Walwanda mosque junction after a malfunction with its brakes, swerving off the road and killing six people instantly. The seventh person died on his way to hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the vehicle knocked a tree on a slope. The injured were first rushed to Buvuma health center IV and later referred to Kawolo hospital. By the time of filling this story the victims were not yet identified.

Last year if I remember there was a fanfare of a French Company - Surveyance Internationalle- are they not responsible for checking these vehicles? Our life is cheaper than a loaf of bread; they put a lot of effort in caring for rhinos and zils for for us!
