Nansana mob sets vehicle ablaze

The vehicle being burnt

An angry mob has set ablaze a Toyota Prado vehicle registration number UAM 617D following a fight involving two motorists. The incident occurred this morning in Nansana town council along Hoima road after the two motorists ran into each.

It all started after the driver of the Prado, Gerald Kayondo clashed with the driver of a commuter taxi identified as Richard Sseruga when their vehicles brushed as they tried to negotiate their way through the traffic jam around Nansana town council.

Edward Naijuka, an eye witness who operates a shop close to the accident scene, says amidst the confusion Kayondo went back to his vehicle and returned with a small hoe, which he used to hit Sseruga on the head.

"We thought he was going to drive away but he returned with 'akakumbi', which he used to hit on the taxi driver on the head," Naijuka said.

As a result, residents who were watching the incident descended on Kayondo and assaulted him before setting his vehicle ablaze. The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire says police was called in to restore order, saying they managed rescue Kayondo from the mob. They also rushed Sseruga to hospital.

Kayondo is being held on tentative charges of causing grievous bodily harm to Sseruga.

"We have arrested the driver of the Prado and he is currently in our custody at Nansana police station. He was arrested by one of our detectives. The taxi driver was rushed by the residents to hospital," Owoyesigyire told URN.

Police has deployed at the scene and sealed it off as investigations into the incident continue.

The violence, whether it's among adults or youths, is side effect of dictatorship-bad rule-overstay in power - Ugandans see themselves as enemies of one another while accepting status quo as fait accompli, their destiny, normality!

Ugandans obstinate in keeping Museveni in power instead of bringing down the tribalisti system by UNITING & are not aware he uses them against one another, adults fight each other on streets, youths without ledership get angry in public places!

All this will culminate in total confusion that will give Museveni more reason to teargas-fire-arrest-harrass Ugandans, under pretext of keeping peace!

How can Ugandans go on maintaining the tribalistic system, means through which the former asylum seeker is, step by step, heading to ownership of their country?...

...Ugandans must by now know that as long as tribal leaders are obedient/quiet in posts, supported/protected by subjects & our people ensure tax money in peace, Museveni is firm on the ground!

Ugandans pay allegience to tribal belongings, protect tribal leaders who are protecting/working for /payed off by Museveni - this make Uganans totally powerless face to the dictator & at his mercy!

This is why no opposition leader dares come out to call Ugandans to UNITY knowing he it will be a lonely battle as they come from tribal lands & will put their tribes in danger with the others; so non is today opposing Museveni!...

...Is it not time Ugandans direct their anger at Museveni, the reason they are at each other's throat, more so, every triba will lose tribal land to Museveni who won't need tribal leaders in post any more ones assured of full control of the country?

After UNITY throws Museveni out, whether it will be Reformed Republic or Independent Tribal States, there won't be this kind of anger/fight & Ugandans won't have to get at one another as it's them who will decide what kind of governance to put in place!

When will Ugandans understand it's them alone who have the power & only in UNITY, to throw Museveni out then go for the kind of governance they want?

If Ugandans don't stop fighting one another & ACT in UNITY against Museveni, he will be there till he drops dead at +90 years of age & by that time, Ugandans will be constitutionally "slaves"?...

...When will Ugandans understand/see that it's the tribalistic system keeping their common enemy in power while they, the people, are at war with one another or used by the demon to harass-arrest-teargas-silence... one another for him?

Amin used Sudanese to enslave/terrorise Ugandans, today, it's Ugandans used by their common enemy who wants to own their country, to do the dirty work for him to finaly hand him over their country!

And Ugandans are helping Museveni own their country while they fight themselves, maintain the tribalistic system with dignity, respect...of Museveni!

Every commotion, fight, querrel...is between/among Ugandans while Museveni enjoys the shows that will hand him over the country, under the noses of Ugandans!...

And tribal leaders, elites, tax payers, youths, poor/common Ugandans are the last to be aware Musevdeni is about to own their country fromed by tribal lands joining hands!!!

Why are Ugandans surrendering their rights, their lives, their country, their children's heritage... to Museveni in such peace, without opposition while paying for it through tax mone that come in peace for Museveni?

Why is it a duty, pride for Ugandans to maintain the tribalistic system used by Museveni to blind them, to finally hand him over their country, while Ugandans are enemies of themselves, fighting one another openly?

What will Ugandans do without Museveni?

But for how long will this terrorist of Musanvu remain in the Ugandan political scene?

The current expression of anger by citizens is an indication of the level of trauma which can only be healed by his departure.
