A female Emirates crew member is currently undergoing treatment after sustaining several injuries after she fell from the emergency exit of a parked Boeing 777-300ER plane at Entebbe International Airport.

The Observer has learnt that the yet-to-be identified crew member fell off the plane shortly before the scheduled departure at 3:25pm. The flight was rescheduled to 4:21pm because of the unfortunate incident.
In a statement issued by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the crew member is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed health facility. According to CAA, the cabin crew member, it appears, opened the emergency door herself.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that she opened and fell out of the emergency door in a failed suicide attempt.

This is because, yesterday according Urban TV 8 o'clock (PM) news. a Swedish national of either Ethiopian or Eritrean origin, left a note and committed suicide somewhere in Entebbe.
Latest news gives the location as Nyamityoboora, Kabobs, Mbarara municipality.
A friend of mine tells me that there is a special way to position yourself when opening or closing these heavy doors.
Still, she is the only one who knows what really happened. What an end to a lucrative career!
There are so many foreigners dying in Uganda of late. Not good for tourism.
On the other hand there are a lot going on with the dying regime. Always take care of yourself in any shithole country.
This may be the first public suicide of an Emirates crew but not the first suicide. As a former employee I can attest that they are under an incredible amount of pressure and a lot of them suffer from unchecked depression.
May she rest in peace and I hope something changes within Emirates so this doesn't happen again...
