One killed, 8 injured in Kisoro bus accident

RIP: Furuz Kamarumba

One person is confirmed dead and eight others admitted in Kisoro hospital after the bus they were traveling in, overturned at 5 am this morning.

According to Uganda Red Cross Society spokesperson, Irene Nakasiita, the bus driver of Baby Coach, Furuz Kamarumba, 37, died on the spot after he failed to negotiate a sharp corner, outside Kisoro town.

Witnesses say the driver failed to negotiate a sharp corner as he attempted to overtake another car, leading to the accident.

The eight passengers were rushed to Kisoro hospital, while the rest have resumed their journey aboard another bus. There were 15 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

Thankfully,it is the reckless driver who died, these bus drivers have proved to be a menace on the road

RIP but this could have been avoided by being more careful.

Why do some drivers enjoy overspending in town areas and overtaking where it should not be? Accidents can be avoided.

fine an accident is an accident but please don't judge this man in that way ,if you know u have never made a mistake judge the driver but the best solution is the govt.should put up refresher courses to all drivers not only for buses but for all vehicles.

as in it should be on monthly and they are given certificates this will be reminding them of what they are and the responsibilities as drivers.
