According to Festus Rwabuhihi, the KIU deputy dean of students, five of the students died on spot in Nakasongola while another one has just died this morning at Nsambya hospital.

Rwabuhihi says 13 students were travelling in the same vehicle at the time of the accident, which occurred last night at about 10pm.
