Over the weekend, sports journalist Andrew Kabuura announced how his family with wife and media personality Flavia Tumusiime had expanded to five members after she gave birth to twins.
Now for the first time since her safe delivery, Tumusiime has taken to social media to share the excitement of her newly acquired ‘nnalongo’ status.
In posts on her Instagram, the now mother of three said, “I put my head down to rest and I woke up feeling like I had slept through a big event or something exciting for the past year or so. I panicked and went to check on time and see how long I have been asleep for (laughing emojis). Friends, it had only been 45 minutes. Postpartum life hits different bambi.”
She also went on to thank everyone who has been sending them well wishes ever since the news broke and jokingly revealed how her husband and firstborn are adjusting to living with the twins.
“Thank you! There are so many messages of love and well-wishing and we are grateful for each and every one. The twins are adjusting to the new normal faster than the parents are but we will get there day by day. Liam (son) and Kabuura are still competing on who does what for the babies. I don’t think they agreed early enough on tasks, but here we are,” Tumusiime said.
The couple that was hit by a highly publicized cheating scandal in 2021 involving Kabuura and a French Embassy employee Mercy Twinomujuni tied the knot on January 12, 2019, and had their first child Liam Ahabwe Kabuura in 2020. The couple has named the twins Enzo Kakuru Kabuura and Ethan Kato Kabuura.
