Filling an expensive concert venue like Serena Kampala hotel for one night is a feat worth celebrating by the host artiste; but to fill it two nights in a row?
Now that is stuff stars are made of. And Sheebah did just that at the weekend. Organised by KT Events and powered by Club Pilsener, the concert took place on December 9 and 10 at Kampala Serena hotel.
It was also Sheebah’s first event after parting ways with her long- serving manager Jeff Kiwa; so, a lot was riding on the two days. Her fans did not disappoint, partying for two days.
It was her first show since the pandemic lockdown and featured a big lineup of Ugandan DJs and musicians including Winnie Nwagi, Crysto Panda, Chozen Blood, Ykee Benda, King Saha, Spice Diana and Lillian Mbabazi, among others.
The show was well attended and only Sheebah’s attempt to sing live almost ruined the magic. Let’s say, it is just not her forte.
Still, she gave the audience a good performance of her hits, shimmering on stage in an all-silk outfit. Backed by a full band and dancers, she kicked off her performance with Nipe Yote, then proceeded to run through her catalogue, giving fans hit after hit.
