Over the weekend revelers were treated to a memorable experience as Nigerian sensation Skales put up riveting performances during the 23rd edition of Blankets and Wine in Kampala.
The picnic-style festival that combines good music with wine, took place at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Sunday. The event also had performances from Gloria Achillah, Eli Maliki and Herbert Ssensamba, among others.
The better part of the evening had Uganda’s main act, MoRoots, take over the stage with a unique Future Afro-soul genre, and Voltage Music delivering an electrifying performance with songs such as Byafaayo, Pull Up, and Squeeze, their hit collaboration with Fille.
By the time Skales came on stage, revelers were ready and they danced and sang along to his energetic performance of popular songs such as Booty Language, I am for Real, Shake Body, and Ego.
There was a display of elegant fashion by revelers at the popular festival. For women, the outdoor event allowed them to slip into something sexy, yet fun.
There were also well-tailored African print dresses accessorized with the right sandals and jewelry, while shirtdresses, ballet flats/gladiator sandals and cross-body bags also were big on the grounds.
