The Crimes of Grindelwald explores dark, pre-Harry Potter era

This enchanting Harry Potter prequel throws us into the times when dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, who had been captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), escapes from custody.

Grindelwald sets out to gather up pure blood wizards and witches, who will aid his ambitions of ruling all non-magical humans.

In an effort to foil Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists support from his former student Newt Scamander, a magi zoologist, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

The battleground is Paris as love and loyalty among friends and family are tested in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald marks the tenth film from the Harry Potter universe introduced by J.K. Rowling providing a backstory for the mythical deathly hallows and Dumbledore played by Jude Law.

The film casts Jude Law (Arthur: Legend of the Sword), Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean), Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Zoë Kravitz (Rough Night), Ezra Miller (Justice League), Katherine Waterston (Logan Lucky).

The Crimes of Grindlewald premiered last Friday at Century Cinemax, Acacia mall - Kamwokya and Cinema Magic, Metroplex mall - Naalya.
