Acapella groups have been rising up in the past few years in Uganda.
The famous ones include; Sauti Ya Africa, Cape Brothers and Canaan Gents, among others.
This Sunday, Sauti Ya Africa will be hosting their fans to a music-filled evening at the Design Hub in Industrial Area.
Made up of friends, George Semaganda (baritone), Francis Mutesasira, Charles Awany (tenor) and Ben Katumba (bass), the group is mostly known for their works around inspiration and religious songs. They will be performing for the first time since they released their single Amaalo earlier this year.
What makes this particular show different is that since their past performances, the group has grown to include live band instrumentalists in their performances and recordings – an evolution that has taken them beyond the acapella tag.
The audience on Sunday will hear songs like Crying, How Do I, Mama as well as some of their best covers like Hallelujah and Ave Maria, among others.
The evening with Sauti Ya Africa is priced at Shs 20,000, and starts at 6pm.
