Ssenyonga thrills Kawaala

Last Sunday was gospel singer Pamela Ssenyonga’s day.

She hit the platform of Glory of Christ church, Kawaala, for her Tebasemba Nakyo concert. Unlike secular concerts which start really late, this one started at 4pm and the LTV presenter who has three albums (Tendereza, Commander and Tebasemba Nakyo) made a record when she only sang four songs – Yebale Yesu, Tebasemba Nakyo, Tendereza and Ampadde.

Apparently the show was meant to start at 4pm and end at 6pm but due to technical problems, it was pushed to 8pm. The crowd sang along to all four songs and this gave her the courage to dance a little, which is unlike her.

After the four songs, Pastor Herbert Kiwanuka prayed for her and this was followed by CD auctioning led by Aloysius Matovu Jr, who also sampled his new gospel music, Mukama Mulungi.

The indoor concert saw the likes of Julie Mutesasira, Joseph Ssegawa and Miriam Mugabi Ssenyonga, among others, put up wonderful performances and the audience kept on asking for encores.
