Fresh Dairy launches 2018 schools’ yoghurt contest

Schools in Wakiso and Kampala districts have a chance to win two water tanks worth Shs 6 million in a new competition by the makers of Fresh Dairy milk products.

The competition, launched recently at Kalinabiri primary school in Ntinda, will target 350 primary schools in Kampala and Wakiso districts.

The Fresh Dairy Schools Program, which is now running for the second year, is aimed at educating children on nutrition with an inclination towards the consumption of one yoghurt a day as a healthy and nutritious snack.

Launching the contest, Nakawa Division chairperson Ronald Balimwezo commended Fresh Dairy for maintaining the initiative for the second year, before expressing the hope that it would help improve nutrition among learners.

“I believe that educating primary school children, the parents and teachers about the benefits of nutrition will go a long way in curbing malnutrition among children in Uganda,” Balimwezo said.
