KCCA face Mbarara

Defending champions KCCA FC aim to bounce back to winning ways when they visit Mbarara City at Kakyeka stadium today.

KCCA suffered their second defeat on Friday after losing 1-2 to Proline in the Azam Uganda Premier League match played at the StarTimes stadium Lugogo.

KCCA striker Daniel Nsibambi (L) fired blanks against Proline on Friday. He will lead KCCA against Mbarara today

Daniel Isiagi stung his former side as he scored twice to give Proline victory. Paul Mucureezi pulled one back from the penalty spot for KCCA, who will be determined to win against an unpredictable Mbarara side.

After the setback at the hands of Proline, coach Mike Mutebi’s side slipped to third on the table with 22 points, two behind leaders SC Villa and just a point behind second-placed Police.

A win against Mbarara will give some relief as the league takes a break ahead of the regional Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in Kenya and the Cosafa U-20 tournament in Zambia.
