The Council for East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) has made changes to the regional Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.
Nicholas Musonye, the Cecafa secretary general, told URN earlier this week that the 2017 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup has been pushed to December 3- 17.
The tournament was meant to take place from November 27 to December 9. Kenya will host the competition, which will feature ten national teams including guest sides Zimbabwe and Libya.
Musonye said because of several changes and logistical aspects, they decided to make a change to the dates which will be comfortable for most teams. He said some member nations - Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and Sudan- will not take part because they are not ready.
Defending champions Uganda, hosts Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Burundi, South Sudan, Zanzibar and the two guest sides will take part in the event.
