Uganda Cranes lost 2-0 to hosts Tunisia in an international friendly played at the El Menzah Olympic stadium on Wednesday.
Midfielder Hamza Lahmar and Muhamed Yacoub scored in each half to give the home side the win.
Lahmar curved a free kick over the wall to beat Salim Magoola for the opening goal. The Cranes tried to press and go forward but found a tight and well-coordinated Tunisian midfield.
Yacoub headed in the second goal after 47 minutes past Benjamin Ochan who had replaced Magoola in the second half.
Head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic will now hope that his team can improve in the remaining two international friendly games against Slovakia and Ivory Coast to be played in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Micho is using the friendlies in preparation for the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) that starts in less than two weeks from now.
Uganda is grouped alongside Ghana, Mali and Egypt for 2017 Afcon, Tunisia will have to battle through Group B that also has Zimbabwe, Algeria and Senegal.
