Sabina Ddumba may not be known to an ordinary Ugandan music listener, yet she’s one of the most sought-after acts in Sweden where she’s based.
This Monday at the weekly Jam Sessions at the National theatre, Ddumba will make her debut on the Ugandan scene with a well-crafted performance.
Highly viewed as her homecoming, the show is intended to get the Ugandan audience to meet her in person. She has various songs including Scared for Life, Effortless and Time, among others.
Her music is an influence of RnB with a classical church feel. But staying true to her age, Not Too Young, which is the lead single off her latest album, was certified platinum twice. She later performed it at the Grammis Sweden – the country’s version of the famous Grammy Awards.
Judging by her music on YouTube, Ddumba will be an interesting act to watch.
The show is scheduled to start at 7:30pm until 11pm. It is a free show made possible by Bayimba Productions and the Swedish Embassy.
